@@musiquemania7424 Well, you're wrong about that. The level design, gameplay and graphics are god tier. Even the story is great, and I like nearly all the characters except "Vergil" there. The writing may have sucked, but everything else is awesome in this game Oh, and of course the soundtrack! Both Combichrist and Noisia did a great job on it and you can't deny it

Well. Actually Dante was never truly happy after Vergil's "death" and after Trish, who left him (until he met Nero at Dmc 4). He was deeply depressed at Dmc Anime. And that depression completely destroyed him to the moment of Dmc 2. So the fact, that he is too serious there, makes sense

DMC2's director didn't liked Dante from the first game, so he made him more serious. The last three games were directed by the same person.

I mean DMC 2 is not such bad game, it had everything to be something good, but unfortunately they were very rushed in the production, I hope that in some distant future we will have a remake, because DMC 2 deserves it, and of course, then it would be possible to play with Dante and Lucia together, and Trish could have her own campaign in this remake
