@@Megalodon0064 hey, bud. Apparently you need a hide if some sort. They should detect no movement if they're so skittish. Also, a mask on your face, if you're Caucasian - some hunters say they see the bright color.
@@AirRifleActivities Oh, thanks! I'll wear a mask now and I normally hide my cat when I hunt but I'll take more precautions now on. Thanks again! (Also I think but not sure they ran away because there is one person behind me, but they never move.)
If the lead don’t get them the fall will. Between your shooting skill, the pigeons hitting the ground and the cats made this one of the most interesting.
@@SilentListenerOfLife thank you, friend 🙂👍 Some ppl don't understand this video and complain about accuracy, not realising I was shooting using a gun sight that was never meant for accurate shooting. The felines always get their share of my kills.
Starving cats wishing for some Kentucky Fried Chicken these birds dropping out of the sky everywhere thank my lucky stars were feasting tonight pigeon hunting turn into Fancy Feast real quick great video thank you
Great shots taking out pest pigeons. I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. As a kid back in the 70's I had a Sheridan 5mm and took out thousands of birds with it. Still have it. Back then it was the best most powerful pellet gun you could get.
I'm sure you're still great with that rifle, mate 🙂 Back in those days it took more skills, I'm sure. Today we have the privilege of using all those high end PCPs. Thank you so much, it's great to have you watching 🤝
When I was a kid shooting birds with my Sheridan we had a female cat named Willy that would go hunting with me and retrieve the birds. She would actually bring them back to me. @@AirRifleActivities
Awesome video. Wow, I really like that Red Dot. I can't even tell it's there on your scope. it looks good for some quick shots or follow-up shots. Great job 👍 thanks for sharing, bsafe buddy 👍
@@Joe_mama779 indeed so, mate 🙂 Sorry to hear it's been 3 years since the last time you watched videos of mine, and it's great to have you watching again 🙂
Another great video. And super helpful. I've been debating adding an offset red dot to my SK-19 set-up for quick acquisition at close range for exotic, invasive pest birds. I had settled on a Vector Optics Frenzy too. Your video has sealed the deal for me. Also it's always great seeing the cats, and keeping up with how they're doing.
Thank you again, Kirk, I'm glad my video was of any help 🙂 I'm sure the SK-19 will be awesome with the red dot sight, and an offset mount was something I was considering too, perhaps it would be a better solution than the rail I got. And once again, thank you for your contribution, mate, I appreciate it 🙂👍
😄 Poor hungry things are getting fatter, Tom 😉 They'll keep getting their share as long as I shoot pests at that place. Let's see how big they can get 😄
Hi Alex, Never been a lover of red dot type optics, however they are quite useful, set them at 25m for the close action and the optical scope at 75m and for most applications your good to go. if you like a compact red dot look at the shield they make some tiny ones
@@AirRifleActivities Well right on! Thank you kindly for the response 😀. Although it still might be a little hot for the environment. That's still 50 fpe! 20 would be plenty. But really enjoyed the video! Subbed.
Awesome shooting and really enjoyed this way of filming, something different to the normal scope cam footage. That red dot is really cool and for close range it is perfect. Keep the cats fed my friend
Yes, buddy, it wasn't windy in the morning, but then it was wind that cleared the sky 😄 Thanks for noticing, and thanks for watching 🙂 More clean up crew footage coming soon 😉
More and more of those, Alex, yes. Thank you, friend 🤝 Gotta check your channel and watch your latest videos (the platform still won't let me get notifications from you) and see what happened with those coyotes.
Thanks, mate 🤝 They're strong fliers and have large pectoral muscles. The airgun projectiles are made of soft alloy. They get deformed upon impact and sometimes deflect in the body before they hit the vitals. That's why a follow up is needed every now and then.
Are you using a slug that has good expansion? I shoot the aea challenger pro 25 with my hand made slugs. It's tuned to shoot 33 grain slugs at 1000 fps 72fpe. I haven't shot a pegion. But it will blow a hole through a dove about the size of golf ball
@@danieldyck2576 I shoot different projectiles. In this video I shot diabolo pellets, as duly explained in the video itself. The slugs you shoot are kinda overkill for pigeons at that velocity.
That red dot is about the perfect tool for shooting indoors, I think. Close range and less need for light allow it to aim where a traditional scope would struggle or fail completely. Coupled with a torch, it would make for very productive lamping of the sky rats after the sun sets. Assuming of course that you could and would stick around long enough in the permission for it to get dark - after all, farms open and close shop based entirely around the daylight hours. Some of these cats are not so fat. They should be very eager janitors to help you clean up all the kills 😁
I agree with you, mate. Thing is the pigeons don't roost there and I don't use it for shooting rats as it will be hard to record through that gun sight. Still, if you're not making videos, it's a great setup.
I think the red dot sight is excellent for quick work of close targets. Very nice! Hey I have an idea what country your in but I found very affordable well made moderators in Texas for 40$ made by Buck Rail and all I can hear is the pellet hitting the target🤷♂️💯👍Hope this come in handy bud. Keep smashing those sky rats! Stay blessed.
Thank you, Heath 🙂 I'm in no need of moderators now but I'll keep that in mind 👍 Although customs tariffs and shipping to the EU are usually pretty steep...
Alex are you still shooting much with your RTI Prophet, and which do you like better the laser accuracy of the Prophet or the Ed Gun Leshiy? Oh, I almost forgot I ended up getting the Huben K1 25.... but that was a while back, now i'm interested in the RTI prophet 2. 30 cal was also one of your recommendations! I've been saving up for some time and almost ready to order, can't wait!!!!!!
Hey, mate 🙂 Of course I still shoot my Prophet 2 and also I can hardly wait until the release of the P-3! 😍 The Prophet and the Leshiy are two very different guns, perhaps with slightly different applications. At least in my opinion. So I prefer to have both 😉 Anyone who has to choose between the two, must carefully consider the purpose of the airgun, the distances, shooting scenarios, etc. No such thing as a perfect gun. There's just a gun that's perfect for a certain situation and a certain shooter.
@@AirRifleActivities Have you heard about the Prophet 2 ..25 cal with the special barrel? I'd hold off buying the prophet 2...30 until i see that #3.... Have you heard anything about it???
@@meaghanmcauley1010 have I heard anything about the P3, is that what you're asking me, mate? Because the Prophet 2 has a "special" barrel in both .22 and .25 and mine has it too, mate 🙂 It's the RTI proprietary barrel for both slugs and pellets and it really works.
@@AirRifleActivities yes, that's what i was talking about the barrel that's only offered on the 22 and 25 cal... And yes, what have you heard about the (Prophet 3)?
Wow! That cat really sumo'd that pigeon, don't see that too often. (Musta been HUNGRY!!) lol The red accents on the rifle look great! Just curious...how well does the red-dot work when you go from outdoor (brighter) to indoor (lower) light levels? Is it harder on your eyes compared to the scope? I especially enjoy the shots where the skyrat is silhouetted against the sky, standing there looking around, not a care in the world. Great shooting, great vid! Cheers!
Hey, David 🙂 The red dot works perfectly fine both indoors and out; you just need to find the right brightness setting. You can quickly increase it or reduce if need be. And it's not hard on the eyes at all, it's just a piece of glass with 1x magnification you look through with both your eyes open. Thanks, brother 🙂🤝
I really like hunting pests videos but I had no idea I could like them more with cats hunting them. I bet they will start coming anytime they hear the rifle. Hopefully you do more videos with cats.
Hey, mate 🙂 Thank you and check out the rest of my videos - the cats appear on just about any video I post of me shooting at that permission. You'll like them, I think. Cheers.
Hi Alex, another enjoyable video. First day sitting out in the warm sunshine, 16C, here in Bridlington. No shooting for a couple of weeks, but I hope to fix that as my wife is going to try to get back driving this week after her long recovery from ankle surgery last November. Whilst she is about the house all I can do is target practice. One advantage, is the spring weather is bringing more skyrats into the garden to feed.
Thanks, Stephen, and happy hunting, mate 🙂 I'm sure they won't even get the chance to realize what kind of mistake they've made landing in your garden.
I'm sure the .30 cal L2 is awesome, mate, so much so that I'm about to get another one in a caliber that has not been released yet 😉 Spoiler alert 😄 Coming soon, thank you so much for staying tuned and for watching 🙂🤝
Green goblin 🤤 😂 you’re a funny guy I just comment about it yesterday and you loved it…. Watching all your videos paid out ahead of time twice. When can I order? Or is that one actually not green? Who cares I’m glad you guns made this thing
Thanks, Chris 🙂 You can see links in the video description, but I'm not the one making those, I just shoot the guns. Green is still an option, I think, check out that website if you will. Cheers, mate 🙂
