Thanks for the review. I've been looking at the rather large Laguna collectors as well as the Harvey dust processor. The Supercell is on my list too and I really like that it can be mounted on the wall. My collector will go in a corner of my shop and I plan to build a closet for it. The Harvey saves space by being relatively low, giving you the ability to have a work surface above it. But, I think the wall-mount for the Oneida and its approx. 2 s.f. foot print is a good option.

It’ll be quite a while before I can get a supercell but I do have the Camvac 90L from Record Power. It’s some of the best money I’ve ever spent. Including the 220v installation. The only thing I wish was different is that it had the ability to be turned on wit a remote. It’s not that big of a deal anyway really but it would be nice. I’ll never go with a low pressure system again

Ever thought of an overhead trolley or crane system for holding hose for hand tool dust collection? Nice setup so far. You're already in the top 1% of woodworkers now lol.

I'm still slowly working on my new shop, but would eventually like to have an overhead system. I'll be sure to post if I design something.

Great video, I'm looking at the one you have and looking at the Harvey G700 Gyro dust processor.

How thick is your wall? Is it regular 2x4, with 5/8" drywall on both sides? I am thinking a double-wall might eliminate the sound completely.

Thanks for sharing your setup. The noise reduction from your closet is impressive! Does the temperature get pretty high in the closet?
@MaverickMakersUSA
@MaverickMakersUSA 2 года назад
I was a bit concerned about that at first, but have only noticed slight increases in temperature. When I work on projects it isnt running constantly and I usually have periods where I'm assembling and planning when it is off. The return air duct may also be mitigating heat build up.

I noticed in the manual it calls for 24" of additional clearance above the unit so you can access the filter. It doesn't look like you have 24" of clearance, so is that a problem when you access the filter?
@MaverickMakersUSA
@MaverickMakersUSA 7 месяцев назад
I have about 13" clearance and have no issue getting the motor housing off to access the filter. You could probably get the housing off with as little as 8-10" of overhead clearance.

Brilliant putting your excess noise producers behind the wall. Do you get any sawdust from the top of the blade? I’m trying to reduce that without putting an attachment above the tablesaw. Wondering if this take care of that.
@MaverickMakersUSA
@MaverickMakersUSA Год назад
It really depends on the cut I am making. If I'm trimming up the side of a piece of wood I get a lot more dust than if the blade is mostly covered by the wood through the cut. I don't have any issues with the finer dust, but there are definitely some larger chips that end up on the table when there is no attachment over the blade.

How are you venting the closet? Does it go back into the shop / contribute to the noise?
@MaverickMakersUSA
@MaverickMakersUSA Год назад
I have another video on that, but yes it vents back into the shop with very little noise.

What brand of Y-Connectors and Blast Gates are you using?

Powertec. I left a few links in the video description.

How many blast gates can you have open at a given time?
@MaverickMakersUSA
@MaverickMakersUSA 2 года назад
As you can see in the video, when I had 2 gates open the flex hose was not collapsing versus when one was open. The system is designed and really works optimally with only one blast gate open at a time. I'm a one man shop so I don't have any issue running off one blast gate.
