Just yesterday, I went to a big box store FM after a remodel trying to find where everything was and a Very young girl asked what I was looking for. I said nothing just trying to find out where things, clothes were located. She told me pretty much that I was in the wrong section because it was the "young women" section. Well I walked out, but after words, I wish I would have asked " where is the" old women " section. 😂😂 73 is not old!! The new 53😅
@glennazuck4434 - You are correct, and are 73 years y.o.u.n.g!!! The gal helping you out is no douby out of touch (which I find is the case for most clerks younger than 35,) and her world probably doesn't interact with those of us who are choosing to live young. I would have tried to shock her into my world by responding, "If this is the young women's section, that's perfect! Show me what you got, sweetie!" Keep living young, glennazuch! You have a sisterhood right behind you! ❤️👍
This happens often. I think it is rude for a shop owner/salesperson to target a specific age group to sell to. Big mistake, you never know who is window shopping or who is actually looking to purchase something for themselves or someone else.
Please ,please do another shopping video with Eden and Natalie!! I thoroughly enjoyed this style of video and what great content when it is too hot to be outside gardening plus shopping local is the best!! You both looked lovely in the outfits!!
Great episode today and well done Stewart with his respectful filming in the ladies territory 😊😊Leah is a great asset to the team also. Just love her style ❤❤❤❤
What a fun video! What am I saying, all your videos are fun! You can only get this kind of personal attention from smaller boutiques. Well done ladies.
Oh my goodness how I loved this video! I love how you have broadened the content of this channel and I absolutely love it all! I would be at the boutique in a heartbeat if I lived there. I adore Leah as well. I am a scarf girl too ❤
Very well said Linda about the High Conflict book. There was a point in time where we shared opinions as diverse and opposite as possible yet never found it to be a defining factor of a person. However in today’s world it is tearing people and relationships apart and there is instant prejudice. Thank you again Linda. In your own way you are making the world more beautiful and a better place. You inspire us to do the same. And your style is impeccable, Leahs too so fresh. Thank you Linda’s team
This wk at a thrift store I purchased a long top like jacket and thought -- this looks like something Linda would wear. Which actually made me like it even more. Enjoyed this video so much. The outfits were adorable - but my favorite was the flowered slacks.
What an outstanding idea …..a little bit of everything! I love this format Linda! I was glued to my IPad smiling thru your entire presentation. Keep it coming!😊
I was in Oklahoma about couples a month we went to that little book store and we loved it. I never commented but just wanted to say I love all your videos and I’m always waiting for ur new videos every week. I’m so happy I found u like a year now!
We took a long road trip this week, to take my son for a special treatment to heal from Lymes. We listened to a recording of Pride and Prejudice with voice actors. Helped the miles speed by, and we could still point out beautiful views, farms, and flowers. On our morning walk, before treatment, we stumbled on a gorgeous garden created by volunteers, and representing 7 international sister cities. It was right next to the La Crosse river and Mississippi river in Wisconsin. Gardening life bringing people together!
I really agree that the small neighborhood bookstores are a delight. Loved Eden's boutique and the professional assistance you guys received. Linda, that halter top with the long ties over the white blazer was sooo chic. Well done!
Loving SSS more every week. Love that you got Leah to the team you make a lovely team. Both of you should get the floral pants you looked great in them. Leah should get the blue glasses too. All outfits were great. Eden and Natalie have great taste.
Very enjoyable video. I love the same outfits you both wore with slight changes. Love the two versions of the pearl earrings. I am a book reader. And love going to book stores and the library. I absolutely love cottages and designs. I recently purchased the book A cottage for every season. Inspiring Homes with Classic Charm.Cindy Smith Cooper. Great book.
Absolutely loved today video all the shops were so awesome you are one lucky lady to live so close to them . The outfits were so stunning I seldom love big earrings. Think you for sharing ❤
Signature Style!!!…my absolute favorite video Linda. Such a fabulous mix of interests. Outfits were great. Love your Leah🥰. I live in north western Wisconsin. Currently reading Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good by Jan Karon, a continuation of the Mitford series. Learning how to “re” play the piano…took lessons years ago. I’m 65, love the coastal grandmother vibe and big earrings 🙌🏻. Simple life. Having my best friend and her husband over for coffee and a homemade loaf of banana, blueberry, dark chocolate bread. Can’t wait till next week.
One of my stories for sharing is how I met one of my best friends and of all places in a confession line at church. She was in line with her little boy and was in a dither. She kept telling me how she had an argument with her husband and she was so distressed at what she had said and how she acted and I tried to calm her. After that we became the best of friends and that was 18 years ago!
Leah, what a fun vintage market! I wish you had tried on some outfits there, or picked out some things for Linda to try. That would have been fun. The items were obviously well curated .
Perhaps you could buy the soil sample prints now and save for Hubs next gift day. Loved both outfits. Thank you Linda for asking about undergarments, very helpful. Although, the white blazers are nice, a lightweight white sweater would also work. Fun video. Now we know where to shop when visiting OKC.
Wonderful video, Linda, I love your book recommendations! On The Loose is a children's book about a lizard 🦎who accidentally goes into a house, and a wild chase begins. The whole family--and even a few pets--work together to return the lizard get back into the garden outdoors where he belongs. The illustrations are by a Ringling artist.
While camping last week I read All My Knotted-Up Life, a memoir by Beth Moore. She is such a writer! It’s a sad memoir, but also so inspirational! I could not put it down. Also I read through so much of Manitoba Butterflies A Field Guide, and I LOVE it! It was a Christmas gift from my daughter and so well done. What a great gift! I would encourage your followers to pick up a field guide of their region before camping! So much fun!
Linda, The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese (an Oprah favorite) who also wrote Cutting for Stone is a book to keep on the “favorite books of all time” shelf - both of them! Oprah did an interview with him on RU-vid and it was so wonderful to hear about how he wrote the book. Don’t pass these up!! Mandy from sweltering Tucson 🌵🌞
Fun. I did not have time to go to the Paseo so a return trip is in my future. Oklahoma City certainly has changed since I moved in 1976. I love it. I’m envious, somewhat, of your being able to walk to different establishments. Then again, I do enjoy the serenity of my forest. Btw, that blouse has your signature touch of blue, Linda.
Fun shops Linda. Does Eden Boutique have fashion shows of her own? Would love to see more of her pairing outfits. Loved the gathered pants you both looked great in them, very vintage.
Great video Linda❤. Absolutely agree the world needs more love and understanding. It's going to take a lot of work but if we as a community just do our little bit it will help. Spread the word of compassion to each other. Can we go shopping together again, have a coffee and chat, i felt I came along with you🤗😁. Sending love from Rosie O from Devon England 🇬🇧👏
Loved you talked about UNDERWEAR😁! After all its not outer wear. I think we've all seen those fashion mistakes ruin an outfit. Always check that rear end before you walk out the door!😊
Perhaps in the same vein as your High Conflict book, I recommend I Never Thought of It That Way by Monica Guzman. For fiction, an older book that I recently read is The Stone Diaries by Carol Shield. It is the birth-to-death story of a woman and there are even garden references.
I really loved those floral pants on both of you! So cute and they looked so comfortable for the summer. I wish you didn’t break up the segments during the video. I’d much rather see the whole thing and then move on to something else. Sometimes I only have a few minutes to watch a video and I’d rather see all of the clothes, for example, then I will watch another segment later. Sometimes they seem kind of chopped up. Just a thought to consider.
Linda and Leah both looked super in the 70s inspired floral pants. I think they look fun and yet sophisticated too. I'm currently reading 'The Lincoln Highway' by Amor Towles. It is set in the 1950's - so far it's really, really good. When in public with the book, people have stopped me and commented that they too have read it and how much they enjoyed it. Also, wile not a book, I've recently read and re-read the speech by Teddy Roosevelt called 'The Man in the Arena'. A speech Teddy Roosevelt gave in Paris in 1910 - a message of striving towards worthy goals in life despite criticism and avoiding the 'noise'.
What a fun video! Curious what you ladies added to your wardrobe? My favorites, the floral pants, the halter top, the body suit, earrings, sunglasses. I wanted to see more fun selections from Eden and Natalie!
I had to take some time to think before I wrote about “friendship and friends”. It is a very touchy topic for me. In my 22 yrs of marriage I didn’t have a lot of freedom to form and invest in new friendships and my ex having a large extended family made up for it. I did make a few special friendships but I lost that after the divorce. I thought with my new found freedom I would make friends left and right. However, years of dysfunctional thinking and living being closed and guarded does not help. As a 46 yrs old who goes to work and comes back home and afraid to try the internet for friends I am still very much alone. Some days are ok I can spend my time cooking and cleaning gardening but some days are so hard. I don’t know where to go or who to call. I am very thankful for RU-vid and Instagram that has introduced me to inspirational informative and wonderful personalities like Linda and her entourage and more. I feel stuck often but unwilling to give up. There is nothing that can replace strong female friendships and I am going to keep trying Thank you everyone for reading
I have been similar. I joined a community garden and it's a way to connect briefly with people or more if you want. Or just quietly garden on your own. I don't feel I have to talk to anyone if I don't want to. Just being with like minded people in nature is comforting. Much love ❤❤❤❤
That was fun I miss going shopping with my friend ( she moved) we had so much fun trying things on. Great boutique shop loved the 70's style pants not sure about the faux leather have to have the right figure for those. The halter neck top was really nice on you but you could wear anything and look great.
