About the fear of running out... I’m the same! It’s funny because I always end up leaving the products I love when they are nearing the end to the point when I sometimes forget about their existence. Also would love to see the room makeovers!!!!!

I was always like that, didn’t want to use up my fav things. I literally just started using all those products in the last couple of weeks. And it has really brought me so much joy to use them. And I’ve always loved this quote: “You can’t make room for the new, while holding on to the old”

I just love how you unintentionally matched your eyeshadow to your complexion! What I mean is the dark brown shadow frames the sparkly green glitter in the center of the eyes like your dark brown hair/brows frame your green eyes! It’s so complimentary and I am sooo here for it! I really relate to the anxiety of using loved products. I purchased a Lisa Eldridge lipstick that is so lovely I'm afraid to use it( I do but sparingly) and I placed it on a pretty box as if its elevated, and I often take off the top to just marvel at the magnetic closure. Weird. I think it has to do with loss and the idea of a treasure rather than a utility. But I digress...Great video and yes, I'd live to see your office remodel and decorating. Not Julia but throwing my two cents here. I was raking my brain about how to replicate her smoky oil stain eye look recently. I didn't have the same shadows they were expensive to me and so I tried a bunch of different options : - the Pat Mcgrath mini submersive. Not the same effect at all but interesting, less shiny and color shifting but still added a lot of depth. - the duochrome from Natasha Denona mini Gold palette was really great -my only duochrome from Colourpop - Antimatter turned out really well too. It's more about the technique than the product in my opinion but I think you should try it with any duochrome on hand before feeling like you have to commit to a special expensive shade like Pat's. Would probably recommend a light duochrome shade or just shifting one through.
I normally like Guerlain bronzer but that particular palette has such a strong fragrance I can’t stand it. I left it open for days hoping the smell would dissipate but it didn’t.
I really appreciate u having a curated makeup collection (except for lip stuff.. I can see they r ur weakness 😋) even though you’ve been sent tons of make up every month.
I have the same fear of using up my best makeup and perfumes. So I tend to try and save them for special occasions, sadly I rarely have that many special occasions, lol. I need to just use them and enjoy them more frequently. Beautiful look!
this is the one pat McGrath that I want the most .. its on my next makeup to get list for sure . can't wait to use it now.. I have been getting way to much makeup and I think I'm just going to get really choosy with the items I add to my collection that I must love it . Hi, Julia. I had never thought of using a dark base to highlight a duochrome shadow. I have tried with one of the colours in the Jackie Ayna palette, trust issues, and it behaves exactly the same as yours, it is amazing! Thanks.
I’m the same way with my products! I have so many skincare products and I usually use my least favorite products regularly and my favorite ones only once in a while bc I don’t want to run out of my favorites. I’m trying to get better about that this year.

Yeah I relate to the "Don't have to repurchase it if I don't use it up" mindset. Sucks because products do expire and don't need to be held back for "special occasions" bc makeup is too expensive to not love every bit of it 😂
