I have a 4” scar on my calf from those peddles, lol. I was riding and the chain snapped off and it went downhill from there. Obviously that resulted in a trip to the ER. Love the videos. Brings back so many wonderful memories.

Ah... that 80s freestyle seat doesn't go on that bike anyway, so don't feel bad that it cracked on it. The owner should switch it out anyway. :)

To you two guys this is a great combination of input in a bike culture show. I had two of the classic bikes in the beginnings of bmx. A Schwinn Predator and a Hutch TrickStar. But I’m not trying to buy at todays prices and recreate those bike. That why I come to your channel. Great work and don’t doubt your knowledge. I love the new bike frames and parts we have now. better to break the seat before the guy rides it and gets a nasty scratch or cut. one of my big friends broke a pedal on my bike two different times over the years. each time he was really sorry, i told him better you break it peddling on flat ground than me coming out of the air from a big jump or street obstacle. that guy saved me twice as the peddles were fatigued from abusive riding. i believe both sets were old school Primo tenderizers. hope you had a good B day Phu. thanks for the content.

My older brother had a Mongoose just like that, it was black and gold, I eventually ended up stripping it and using some of the parts and then got a bit older and sold it. It was kind of a rusty piece of junk though.

@Phu I had a Mongoose Nickel Plated like that one,I had a gold Suntour Stem like that one, but with no bend, and gold Raleigh Ultra Burner handle bars that were alloy and they would always slip when I did a hook up. On EBay a white M.X. B.M.X saddle like that one can be got brand for very little.

Ya- and crackpots are selling them for 400 bucks. You guys can have them. Seats should be look at as a safety item. You wouldn't wear a 90s helmet on a motorcycle, nor would you drive a car with 5+ year old tires.

Like the build, hope the guy is cool about the seat and wants to get something newer in either blue, yellow, or black, the white just doesn't match the rest of the bike. Happy B- day to Phu, maybe Alf will spring for a few shots and a lap dance.

Hello I am lookin for a bike I can do street tricks on and wheelies and little bit of off road dirt jumping. I'm 6,1 looking into a 26" kink drifter. My main question is idk if I need a freecoaster or if it makes a difference for tricks beside rolling backwards?

i saved all my money from working at 7-11 so i could buy the new Dimond Back Formula 1 BMX bike, and a GT layback seat post. total in 1984 - 460 dollars. 17-18 pounds of pure fun. going from a heavy ass Swin to a lite Dimond Back was night and day. smoother. easer to jump farther with, do tricks better. all around better bike than a Swin.

Not sure if it's cool enough for this channel, but I got a All origional 1994 Diamondback Viper XL with probably the most prestine chrome but it needs new decals. Would you guys know we're I could find new decals for it?

That seat was probs bought used , nos and from a box new old stock , they are 99percent of the time good, I buy nos for my resto bike projects,,,,,, recently a primo balance seat , 4 Alex supra E sigma pros 48 6 rims nos , used Brooklyn machine works cinburgers 9/16 nos dirt bros short bus in radical red and a patriot than I’ve made a rider

Becarefull when moving them plastic seats back in fourth even over tightening or visce versa it can crack that nose easy especially if the seat has been stored in weathered conditions

That plastic seat isn't anything special looks like a freestyle generic seat imitation shotgun seat that usually stamped freestyle on the sides in gold but the white one probably faded off or just a generic you can find a white aero viscount call it a day
