Also, try traditional furniture stores. The Dump furniture outlet is a decent store that has quality furniture. You can get well-made furniture for a decent price.

I didn’t know there were Primark’s in the US. I’ve only been to the ones on London and Düsseldorf. You didn’t ask but…when first time home shopping, take your time. Don’t feel the need to rush and get everything. Think about the feel that you want your home. Sometimes people rush and buy a lot of pieces and don’t consider the overall feel they want for their home. Start with your sofa and build around that. Also, don’t be afraid to secondhand shop for non-fabric items. Most of the decor that I have is secondhand and I love the charm of it all. I have a little wooden toddler charm that was $3.00. I painted it and I use it as my work backpack chair. I got vintage wooden ironing board that I used as a plant stand for $2.00. And yes, I spent $60 for an automatic trashcan. It was stainless steel and black but I spray painted it bronze, I don’t like stainless steel. My favorite piece was the pumpkin disco ball. I love pumpkins! Good luck on this new journey. It’s been a treat watching you over the years and how things are shaping up for you back home.
