I LOVE❤ that you talk nutrition not just prices when buying groceries. Too often in the mad dash to be frugal [ I get it. I host a frugal living facebook group ], youtube chamnels will focis on extra carbs to " fill bellies". However, buying clearance, on sale, being flexible, having a prepping pantry and knowledge of nutrition can also help folks to save money.😊
Yellow onions are storage onions. If you wrap them in some aluminum foil and put in your vegetable bin in refrigerator they will keep for months! So, hubby can rest assured that they will not go to waste.😊
If the prices in the discount area, like the peppers are high, ask a produce person if the price is supposed to be reduced. Don't ask if the price for the bag is correct.
@@savvysaute6578That makes sense. You needed to shop and bought a good selection. And you still included good tips. I'm pretty sure you're in a Kroger store as I recognize the discount stickers and way of leaving those items in with reg priced. And you know what? Kiwi's are delicious and a healthy treat. Doesn't everyone change their meal plan after they go shopping? I almost get PTSD when I run out of onions, too 😂 You said you spent more, shopping with hubby, but you spent less than if you'd gone to a restaurant, and had a lot of fun taking care of a task. 🎉
