Me too, in 2016. She was my best friend and was just the best. Young at heart too, and looked like my sister not my mom. Cancer sucks. Jeannie and mama mai make me smile too because I can relate so much to their relationship.
I lost my mom in 2000. It still hurts and I miss shopping with my mom. She was my best friend and a 14 year breast cancer survivor. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her.
I lost mine, too. Whenever I see mothers and daughters shopping together or eating out, my heart hurts. Losing her is one of the worst things that has happened to me. I’m so glad Jeannie and Mama Mai enjoy each other.

I lost my mum a couple of months ago. We used to shop together in TKMAXX. Watching you and Muma Mai brought tears to my eyes Jeannie. You're creating such precious memories together and your both nuts to top it off!

They say that the kindest people are often the ones who've experienced deep sadness, hurt & pain. These people know how heavy a heart can weigh & never want to see others hurt like they do/did. That's Mama Mai. Her story explains why she carries so much empathy. Jeannie, I respect so many qualities you both have, transparency, positivity, humour, honesty etc but what you & Mama Mai should be so proud of is your nonjudgemental nature, especially in this era. Mama Mai will talk to & help anyone & everyone. And you Jeannie, your always the voice of reason on The Real, always refusing to pass unnecessary judgement & just being genuinely accepting. Can I just go on record as saying this PR girl from NYC loves you both? You’ve both come so far despite your challenges! Mama Mai had me in tears in the episode where she shared awful childhood but what a wonderful one she in turn gave her children. Love multiplies where God is present.
