Hi Alyssa, I read through all the comments and so often a reference to inspiration is made. You have such talent, the fact you inspire so many to shop their own closet with such enthusiasm and joy is just incredible. Love your videos and yessss you inspire me too! Have a fabulous week 😌😋 💙
As you asked if this format is good of " putting the look together" ?: yes it is helpful as it gives even a better picture of how each element as a build up makes the whole look complete. It's a motivation to build on an outfit completely and not just judge by 1or 2 elements and then give up half way by telling self that it doesn't work . Thanks :)
I liked this video because it basically encourages us to capture the spirit of outfits and looks we love even if we cannot recreate the specific elements of a look that are what initially draws us to love it. I’m embarking on a no buy for 2022 so this is all very encouraging for me.
I love this video! I really enjoy when you walk us through your thought processes and explain “why” you choose the items from your closet options. Thanks!
AS ALWAYS!!! You nailed every look!!! Looks 2,3,1 were the order of my "liking." Thank you for doing 2 in the VB looks. I LOVED them both!!!! I often wear a fitted ligh weight sweater with a button up beneath, buttoned to the top button. I just love the structured polish it gives! Alyssa you are so good at what you do!!! Thank you!!!
I love all your looks from your closet. You give them an elegant elevated look. I love the red sweater and striped shirt in Look 2. Stunning with your tan pants! Thanks for thinking of us going into winter. I'm in Australia. This look is very reminiscent of what I used to wear as a teenager in the mid 1970s. Such a fab look! 💜🙏
Love this format where you talk us through your thought process and why you chose what you did as well as the second options if you weren’t happy with the first.
Loved this! You really nailed outfit 2 and 3. I also appreciate that you did two different looks for outfit number 2. I still loved your outfit number 1 as it shows we can take inspiration even if we lack the items! Shopping my own closet and thanks for the help!
I agree with a lot of people - love watching you build the outfit! Also would love to know more about your custom suit and what you were looking for. I would love to have one myself. The fit is incredible!
Yes more please! I love this format of showing us how you determine how to create the looks/finishing touches "in real time" so to speak. Love hearing the thought processes - it helps so much!
So lovely! Hi Alyssa! Wow, you've killed all the looks, and I prefer your version on the first look! And no, it's not the end of the world if some of us don't have a printed knit vest. 😂😭 But it's good to be reminded.😎 I love this format so much - when you talk us through your styling tips and tweaks. Thank you for another great video. Your smile is getting more amazing every day, as if it's even possible! Big hugs Bella! 💖🌺🌺
Love the new format. It really helps us hone into how you re create an outfit. Outfit inspiration is just that m inspiration. I really like how you encourage not copying the outfits but capturing the spirit of each combination. Lots of fun 🤩
What a lesson in fashion!I am so inspired to do this it seems like so much fun and and an excellent way to breath new life into my closet, thanks so much🇿🇦
I really enjoy the exercise of breaking down looks and as an avid watcher I try to guess what you'll pick from your closet. Thank you for sharing your ideas, I just need to be better in tune with my own wardrobe! For the first look I liked the knitwear untucked, it accentuated the waist without a sharp break at the mid-line. 😊
I got inspiration from the way you approached the Mindy Khaling outfit. I have a metallic pleated skirt. I don't have a baseball cap purse, or patterned knit vest, and my current body shape isn't most flattered by leaving a shirt untucked without a belt or something. So, I like seeing how you turned the inspiration into something you'd actually wear. As you've said before "inspiration, not necessarily recreation". YOu completely nailed the Victoria Beckham look, and that tailored look is accessible to most of us for everyday/office/work and errands. For the Liu Wen look, I might have tried your cognac loafers because they would tie in with the leather on the basket bag, and be lower contrast than the mainly white uppers of the pointy flats you tried this time around. As always, nice looks! I bought a ticket to your next live event!
I would have loved to see that Victoria Beckham look keeping that over sized sweater and fitted pants and the invert colour look with a white pant and a blue shirt with that red.
Also just think these videos are such fun. I love the way you evaluate the elements of style and walk us through your process. It has helped me define my own style and love working with my wardrobe in a way I never did before.
You and I just repurposed a black midi halter top and an amazing Linda Allard for Ellen Tracy emerald and lime green, 100% silk, pocketed, vertical-striped wrap maxi skirt from the 90s that will totally ROCK 🎸 ‼️🥳
YES! Love this format! Breaking down the elements, selecting from your closet as you go and modifying where needed. I have a better understanding of the process with this sequence. Perhaps because I am more of a visual learner, this works better for me? Please do this again! THANKS! :-)
I've only recently discovered your work Alyssa and really love your video's. Loved all 3 of these looks and the way that you give someone confidence to recreate them without buying new pieces. It's all about experimenting :-)
Love this video!! Great ideas and inspiration to shop my closet...👏🏼👍🏼 Little late with my comment because on vacation with family and playing catch up with videos today. Thanks for you wonderful content! 👏🏼👍🏼❤️😊☀️
I really like this format....we get to build the outfit with you! My favorite choice you made is bringing out your red sweater. The fit and proportion is perfect.
I loved what you did with both outfits, especially the Victoria Beckham one. I do have to say that I’m really confused by everyone calling a knee length (just under the kneecap) a midi now. Midi referenced middle of the shin.
Loved your take on all three looks, but I would have switched the basket bag for the first look and the black and white bag for the third look. All three looks could definitely go out to any daytime or early evening get-together and be just fabulous (and also comfortable)!
Hi Alyssa. I don't think your version ofcthet Victoria Beckham is a fail at all. In fact i think you have 2 very successful hits here. Very very nice and your shoes give this such a high end vibe. Love Bev xx
The camel and red combo really sings. I'd love to pair my secondhand nude Louboutins with that...whenever I go someplace I could sit down and cross my legs to show the shoes' red soles. Maybe that sounds a little too precious, but it would be cool to do!
I love all your looks! Your interpretation and self expression is just so interesting! I love the format, too!! Any chance of changing the time of your event sometimes? It would be 2:00 AM here....
Sorry…late to the party! Loved all the outfits but my favourite was the last one. I can easily create that look. Very inspiring as always! Have a great Summer Alyssa! Love from The Netherlands XOX
More of an inquiry: from Mindy's outfit, would you try a baseball cap as a cap, rather than following the baseball-cap-shaped bag? btw, I like the basket bag from the last outfit :D
that's a great question! In this case no - because it wouldn't have the same quirky effect ... wearing a ballcap as it would be traditionally worn would give the look a more sporty, casual feel, but having it as a purse is what makes it unconventional ... I hope this makes sense! :)
@@AlyssaBeltempo it’s fun watching you build the outfit. I posted my outfit of the day on Instagram just a few minutes ago.....Binkie21150 on instagram
I have been a part of every Shop Your Closet event snd they are AMAZING! Alyssa provides the look beforehand so YOU can try to replicate it of you want. SO much fun and I learn so much.
On the second look: I was surprised by the difference between the two sweaters. To accomplish ’the look’ the more fitted sweater really mattered. So great to see how you knew it would change the vibe!
Love this format so much. As far as looks...1. The black tank untucked worked better for me. 2. The bright red sweater & striped blouse definitely "won" in the Beckham look. 3. You nailed the jean jacket/midi skirt look for sure! Honestly loved all 3.
Alyssa I am a big fan of yours. I use your styling tips in my real life and since then my mom appreciates my dress sense😁🤝. Thanks for making so wonderful videos. Love from India
Love how you adapted all these looks to your style, yet keeping the essential mood, feel of the original look. So helpful. I have been way more deliberate and more conscious while shopping since I came across your channel way back when you started it. I am still a maximalist but with way more restrain and have a closet full of things I love to repeat wear. The styling challenge is to rewear the same things in as many, many different ways as I can. Where I am most a maximalist is in accessories and shoes which makes it easy. Merci chère Alyssa! Gros bisous!
Hi Jeannette! YES! I think you can have a maximalist style and still make conscious decisions as you said:) I am so grateful you still enjoy the channel! I also have a lot of shoes they make a big difference in creating lots of looks! Have a wonderful week Jeannette! Bisous! xx
I love love love your advise, videos and inspiration but without going into the 20 reasons why I will just say…get rid of that handbag! Sorry, it so brings down your entire outfit!
