Shopping at a JCPenney store in 1997: Part II 

You know what. Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, KS is still thriving today!!!! I go there sometimes!!

People are still able to do that these days. The problem is that kids are very demanding and want super pricey stuff these days. Shoes is a great example.

@Wolfen EXE idk. I'm a bachelor who brings home about 60k/ year after taxes, and I can't imagine being able to afford a family of 3.

@@oldradiosnphonographs yes I do in a way. But I didn't get the cool kid shoes like they would wear. It was mostly cheaper Avias, Nikes, or Starter brand shoes.

@@MarkMeadows90 yeah in the 90s my shoes came from the Wally World shoe aisle…I didn’t start wearing really cool shoes until high school. I remember I had red Chucks in 9th grade my classmates thought they were cool. My mom thought they looked like clown shoes 🙄

@@oldradiosnphonographs Same here, it was mostly Walmart shoes, or shoes from Payless Shoe Source. I miss Payless actually. You could find some good cheap shoes there every so often. I inherited one of my sister's old pair of Converse Chuck Taylors that she had from the early 90s. Original black and white color. I wore them when I was in first grade from what I remember. I thought I could become a basketball player from wearing them LOL! I mean hey, Converse were the choice of shoe back in the 50s to the 70s with basketball teams.

Nothing was different. I worked at JCPenny for my first job and would have to clean out dressing rooms where people refused to bring out things they didn’t want or would find tons of tags ripped off of stolen merchandise. Kids would urinate in the dressing rooms and you had to constantly refold table items. Just because it was the 90s doesn’t mean it wasn’t just as chaotic at certain times of the day.

We’re not meant to know cuz other people have asked the same question how these videos are obtained and they never respond. I guess its top secret 🤫😂

I'm guessing Vampire Robot either worked as a news cameraman who took these b-roll videos, or got a hold of these videos from TV stations clearing out old videotapes from storage.
