Today we are shopping at Publix Super Market in Oviedo Florida on Alafaya Woods Blvd. This location may be demolished early next year and replaced with an all new store. It's for that reason that we are here today and also to do a little shopping.

Hey everyone. Just bringing u major info regarding the Alafaya woods Publix. It has been completely torn down and it is being completely rebuilt from scratch. No idea when it will reopen.

The store looks too nice to be torn down and rebuilt like another Publix in a previous video posted awhile ago. I really enjoy the videos🙂.

It is nice but dated. The cashier said that they cannot update the store as too many changes need to be made and the building is too old for that.

@@OrlandoStreets This layout doesnt work for Publix anymore, there are some out there but most get leveled and rebuilt like Suncrest Village

If u guys are fans of retro old school arcade games then I recommend checking out Arcade monsters in the same plaza as this Publix.

That's cool. What do arcade games typically cost these days?

@@OrlandoStreets At Arcade monsters u pay a fee of about $21 and u get a wristband for entry. Their huge selection of games are all set to free play so no quarters or tokens are needed. And there are 2 floors of games.

@@OrlandoStreets They have pinball machines, fighting games, Japanese arcade machines, Arcade staples like Pacman, ms Pacman, Galaga, centipede and so much more. Even mario kart

Hey everyone it's been awhile since I've commented on a video like this and I hope everyone is have a happy and safe holiday season. Anyhow I read that the Alafaya woods Publix could reopen spring 2024.

Unfortunately there are not many Old school Publix stores like this that remain intact. Most have been remodeled or torn down and rebuilt from scratch. So in a way it is like a piece of Publix history every time I come across 1.

I rode past this Publix about a week ago and the outside looks done. Shouldn't be too much longer till it reopens for business. Does anybody know when the Alafaya woods Publix will reopen?
