I saw some arguing flamingos when I went to Costa Maya

I am heading that way soon. I once once went from Cozumel to the mainland then boarded a bus to Tulume. It took all day and I totally missed out on seeing Cozumel. Lesson learned.

Thank you for sharing. Yes! The Costa Maya Port is very nice, and there is so much to explore nearby, or within a short taxi or shuttle ride. Since there is so much new development going on in the area, you can get a more authentic cultural experience. In fact, the first time I visited, I liked Costa Maya more than Cozumel.

Hey guys, the suspended roped in walkway is an attraction. It is the aviary tour and it is pretty neat. $11 per person and you get to feed the birds as they swarm you. We loved it when we went there.

Thanks Alisa & Jason! We will be going to Costa Maya on RC Symphony of the Seas later this Spring. Yes it was the hubby's who wanted to go on a mega ship so we picked the newest. Anyhow, we have not been to Costa Maya and not interested in going on an excursion so it looks like the port is where to be!!! And the tacos look amazing!!! Thanks again for sharing your visit!!!

I just got back from my cruise. I was on the NCL Jade. Loved Belize, but Costa Maya was expensive. Yes, that pool was ice cold. Great spot for tanning.

I will be there 4/9/19 via the Carnival Vista. We are going to exit the port and take a taxi to Mahahual to a beach club we have reservations at for the day. Love your videos! I’m a planner and don’t like surprises so it’s great to be able to see what things look like and get a lay of the land ahead of time. Thanks

I went to Costa Maya last November on the Dream. It was my very first cruise. I didnt see a lot of the places you showed in your video. Now I need to go back! I absolutely love your videos and energy. Thanks for sharing.

They have changed this port up quite a bit. We were here last in 2009 and it looked nothing like this.

I do hope in the next vlog you found the entrance to and went through Aviarious (sp). So many Instagram shots up there.. plus just handling and feeding the birds. It was about 10 feet to your right when facing the flamingos.

I would cruise for the same reason as Jason, the ship first port is just a bonus. We are going to be there summer 2020, we actually can't wait to see this port. But we really can't wait to cruise again!

we love this little port. been there twice and going again in April on the Breakaway. Always find something unique to bring home. Amazing pics, which ship are you going on there in April?

Love the dolphins would just spend the afternoon there. It’s looks like a very cool port. When you were on the cruise we were on the Breeze in The Bahamas and such was so hot and humid most days were around 100 degrees or so. We usually pick the destination first then the ship but that’s cause to get to any ship we have to fly😊

I can't wait to book a cruise that includes Puerto Costa Maya - I'm dying to do the Seven Colors Lagoon Tubing in the Bacalar Lagoon or spend the entire day at Maya Chan - plus this port area where you guys are looks like a lot of fun, too! Ugh - 4 cruises booked and not one of them goes here. Looks like I'll need to book another cruise!!!!!!! Thanks for another fun video.

So great to see all the things I missed in Costa Maya...I had an excursion to some ruins which was excellent, but next time, I'm staying in port and enjoying the day just like you two did. Saw your link to the gentleman who told us what to do to help our RU-vid favorites. It's everything we need to know to support you. I've been skipping ads forever, will not do that anymore. Also will do the other things he had hints about. Have to tell you that you two are my favorite travel video couple for places I want to go and foods I want to eat. I like some of the other travel couples, but only as an armchair traveler...don't want to travel to the ends of the earth and eat weird food and bugs. I'm 5 minutes from the Port of Mobile, so I can hop on Carnival at any time. Also, thanks for all your tips videos and the ones where you answer a list of questions...you guys are fun to watch.

Oh my gosh! When you said the vendors magically raised their prices when the Allure folks showed up, I was tripping out. Yet another reason why I can't ever go on a megaship. Wonder if they would've pulled the same stunt if the Allure showed up first.

Hello Guys , as jay said it’s all about the Ship , ports that are heavy on the buy , buy hassle , we’re you go mister , Myself prefer to relax onboard and just soak up the port views from deck , did the travel all over Central America in my younger days , so don’t think am missing out to much by staying on board , as for price if your happy , did see a vlog about how a lot of so called arts and crafts are made in China to order and shipped over on mass , usually it’s the stores are run by one or two big families that have cornered the market , but I could be wrong on this , 🤨

Is there an entryway to walk into the water? Do you have to eat at a restaurant to go into the beach/ocean?

Beautiful port but the dolphin encounter ruins it for me. I don't like seeing dolphins being held for entertainment. It makes me sad. I much rather see them in the wild.

Another nice video!. We have been to Costa Maya twice before. Last year on the Escape was most recent. I did some research and found a highly rated beach bar/restaurant called Tropicante which did not disappoint. Fairly close to the Cruise ships. If your family takes the shuttle into town it will cost you more then if you go past the shuttle area to the taxi stand just outside. You should make a reservation first, if you want to go there. Prices reasonable and more authentic then Cruise port area. Check out their website if you'd like. Nice way to spend an afternoon... Friendly folks

LOL @ $65 for the skulls. Typical Chinese tourist trap stuff you can buy on eBay for $15. The port does look really nice though.
