I got teary listening to you talk about your new principal and teachers. I’m so excited for you! Your enthusiasm is contagious and making me excited to start back to school. After 18 years, I have needed some motivation.
Loved your new book bag! Our principal gave us an alligator 🐊 “edugator” adventures for the summer. To take pics. With, love the whale 🐳 idea too! Can’t wait for the recap of the LA trip
Fantastic video! Your new Principal sounds great and getting along with your principal is 99% less stress. She sounds an emotionally intelligent person, which is fantastic. Billy’s birthday trip sounds so much fun and you spent lots of time planning it ❤ Loved the teacher bag review. I wear a rucksack . It goes everywhere I go! Sometimes I want a nice, light colourful bag. I’ve never been a ‘handbag’ person ☹️
Wow, your productivity is off the charts! You are amazing with all the things you get accomplished. I hope I am like YOU when I grow up. I am so happy for you and this school year. To see your excitement and joy is refreshing. Thank you for sharing because it really inspires me.
I’m so excited for you! I miss being in a classroom, but living vicariously through you is so awesome! I hope y’all have (had) fun in LA! I can’t wait to hear about your adventures!
I'm SO trying the dill pickle Goldfish....also, I love your student spotlight ideas! Im so glad you're back in the classroom. I've learned a lot from you over the years. Every time I listen to you, I'm inspired to live life better. Thank you for all the hard work you put in to your videos. It's greatly appreciated 🎉❤😊
I am soooooooooooooo happy for u! Just hang on to that happiness as long as u can gurl. When u need to too take it out and smile! Please know your excitement is contagious even to an oldie teacher like me!
Way to go Michelle. Even when the teacher's hands are tied by the system, the golden rule still remains that students learn from people and things that they like. Remember that you cannot have school without struggles and in effect certain "behaviors" but if your students love you in the end that alone should be the mark of a successful teacher. - Dwight
Happiest of Wednesdays to you, Michelle! I enjoyed this update on all the events you've got going on right now. I enjoyed how you touched on ways to keep track of information you have learned from books you've read. I loved listening to the Teaching to the TOP podcast where you and Bridget gave many specifics about that topic. I hope that Billy's 30th birthday celebration was amazing! It looks like you really put a lot of time and effort into it, so I'm sure it was a great surprise for him along the way as he opened the envelopes. I hope you have an amazing, productive week! 💜
Thank you for sharing this journey! I’m currently an online teacher who has kind of lost the love of education, but watching your vlogs have helped regain that. I’m even considering going back to in person teaching next school year! I’m so grateful that you are bringing us along on your journey.
I never comment on videos, but i just felt i had to! From elementary school to high school i have watched your videos, and I have always loved your classroom set up sessions! Throughout the years i go through my elementary school’s staff list to see if my old teachers are there and i saw your photo! This was so surreal for me as i have watched your videos for years! I am literally fan girling!!! Excited to both be longhorns!
Wow, you aren’t even back in the classroom yet and I am already getting ideas from you to implement next year! I hope you and Billy weren’t affected by the Microsoft outages that grounded all of those flights! I can’t wait to hear about your trip and all the food you ate! Have a great week!
I love your new bookbag! I'm also team bookbag. How nice of your principal to have a meet and greet with new staff members and to let you know about the whale pics. Just curious, did she choose a whale for any particular reason?
If you haven’t read Fostering Resilient Learners, I highly recommend it. I found it more helpful than Better Than Carrots with restorative practices. I’m an instructional coach, but I just replaced the students with teachers in my mind. It was tremendously helpful.
Tip i learned from a YTuber how to keep bananas longer: wrap the top with tissue/aluminium foil. I used tissue & tie with a rubber band. It works! My bananas can now last longer, up to 5days! Usually in tropical weather, only 2-3days. ❤ If i can't consume fast enough, i make pancakes (yummy!) or like you banana cake (yum too!) 😄😋
I love Goldfish too. I have heard so much about candy salads, I want to make Goldfish salad with my favorite flavors. I live so close to the Chesapeake Bay and I thought it would be so easy to find the Old Bay Goldfish here. Not! I have never seen them in Virginia or Maryland, but I finally found them in Orlando.
hey Michelle! love your videos I always seem to learn a lot even though I am not a teacher and don't plan to become one LOL. I noticed something in your TPT profile. In your "about me" section you wrote "from Austin, Texa!" instead of "Austin, Texas!" (forgot the "s"). I thought was funny and I should mention it
I was going to ask who was watching your baby while you're away! I want to take a vacation but don't want to leave our 2 young pups. They're so used to us being home, like yours is!
You are and will always be Mrs. Emerson to me because you are such an amazing teacher, Mrs. Emerson. - Joshua P.s. you are more than welcome to refer yourself to me as Mrs. Emerson, if you'd like as well.
