We just came back from Seoul a month ago,, it's definitely different skincare makeup and food !!! Olive and Young is a huge store I tried to as much as I could because I fly of course,,, but one of the ladies showed me the US website I can order. I can tell you It's definitely a experience!! I go every year because I have friends that live there.
It’s kinda sad to see how colorism and skin lightning is still so present today, there is no such thing as “too dark” for skin and spreading the idea that is is really hurtful to bipoc or anyone else who has darker skin :/

Everything was nice and pretty but you should seriously stop being bothered by your skin color... twice till halfway mark you have spoken about you liking the skin lightening effect of your sunscreen and also your brown skin...

i think your skin colour is beautiful!! i personally think that the skin colour that you naturally have is what you look best in! you just need to know what colours suit your skin tone and undertone to really highlight the beauty of the skin. i have a really pale skin tone with a rosy undertone, so I like to use light-coloured products on my skin, such as a light orange or a pale pink. darker colours don't look too bad, but i can tell that they dont suit me, like a pungent red or a deep purple or brown. my mom has a more olive complexion, so a purplish red, like a wine or dark grape colour looks nice on her. the purple compliments the olive tone. also browns and mauve colours look good on her.
I really want to go to korea and japan but i don't know the languages. i only know a lil bit of japanese. so if i ever go to korea or japan, hopefully i will know the language :)
4:05 as a black woman this korean obsession with looking as pale as possible still makes me super uncomfortable 7:25 and you're not dark skin AT ALL. You have light skin, I would even doubt you could even tan. Being "dark skin" is not something bad and I know this are your insecurties but you're insecurities can hurt other people. Hope you can over-come that but please don't put it out there, it's super uncomfortable. I know people won't judge you as much as a white person stating the same things, but you should still not say that. You can be a "victim" and "victimizer" at the same time.
I see so many comments telling her that she should embrace her color or skin tone and that she should not be mean to herself and bring herself down but i dont see her being disrespectful to her skin tone and i think that its normal to not like your color but i dont think that is what she is necessarily doing in this video
