I love the Santa plates and the turkey candle! My grandmother always put the ribbon and hard candies out on a candy dish at Christmas time. My cousins and I had so much fun, trying to pry them apart to eat, LOL!! My dad was one of ten children in a big Italian family, so I have many fun Christmas memories. ❤

Happy New Year, Michele, Cheryl and Easton! I hope 2024 is filled with lots of happiness, health and more wonderful videos like this, it was fun to shop along with you. My favorite thing was that store display of vintage Christmas pieces. Wow!! I do remember the candy, our Church gave everyone a bag of hard candy and an orange the night of our Christmas play. That is a fond memory, thank you for the reminder ❤

Every year we had an orange in the toe of our stockings and the rest was filled with unshelled nuts and hard candy.

Yes, we always had fruit, nuts and candy in our stockings. My momma would tell of her going to church and getting a brown paper sack filled with the same things. I'm excited to start sharing my winter decor, now I just get all this Christmas put away. Oh the struggle is real!!!

I plan to go to Hobby Lobby Saturday to check out the Christmas leftovers. I'm guessing most of the really good stuff will be gone. But I will try. I know what you mean about being so busy filming and then you later kick yourself for not grabbing something. I get so focused. I've been known to spend 2 hours filming and not break my train of thought until I'm hearing the store closing announcements and then I'm running around in panic mode trying to make decisions.😂 I am almost an hour away from each of my HL's so I can't just easily come back the next day. My grandma always had that ribbon candy too. Great memories. That gray blanket is nice. Weighted blankets are so calming. I sleep with 5 and sometimes 6 thick blankets every night. My husband sleeps with 1. Same bed- different blankets. Lol. Happy New Year Michele, Cheryl and Easton! ❤😊

Thanks for taking us shopping! I’m really kind of lost after I take down my Christmas decor until Spring so this was helpful. I love Hammond’s Christmas candy. We use to always have it when I was growing up, and you know Hard Candy Christmas is one of my favorite Dolly songs😢. God bless and have a wonderful week 🥰

Judy I was so excited to see that candy. I know I found some old fashioned cream filled candy but those were never my favorites. I bought those for my daughter but kept telling her about these. I was always so amazed at how they could get those prints inside that candy. I'm still in awe of that. Those were such special times back then. I'm fighting the blues about taking down all my Christmas, it make me so sad but hopefully this winter transition will help. Love and blessings to you dear friend!

LOVED the Christmas vintage window display of Santas .Easton oh Easton I know he has some great decor ideas too. YOU got sooooo many good things from that thrift store that blanket and I almost forgot I tried to see if they had more of those mudpie plates I loved Dillards when I lived in Texas a long long time ago Love Stacy GREAT HAUL

Oh Stacy, if you only lived in Texas again, we would be semi close neighbors. I love Dillards, been forever since I have been there so it was fun checking it out again. We used to go every year after Christmas and buy tons of ornaments with our Mom. So fun!!! Yes, that big santa was so fun to see peeking out of that door, you know I had to stop!!!

Jodi you always bless me so much! I can only imagine how beautiful your home is. I was hoping when I mentioned people sharing their Christmas home with me so I could share them on my channel that you would've sent me videos of your home. I love the primitive style as well. I really struggle with taking down Christmas, it's always such a feeling of sadness for me. I think the winter decor gets me ready for everything that is to come. I was thinking today that I needed some new vintage valentine decor, I know I'm excited to start gearing up to get it all out!

Oh yes we definitely had that candy when i was a little girl! My grandmother would order several tins of Christmas candy, the filled candies and those ribbon candies, and also several boxers of the soft candy cane sticks in different flavors. Back then you could actually order them out of the JCPenneys or Sears catalogs and that's where she would get then from. We would get so excited because she would fix little bags with some of each of the candies for my cousins and I. Such great memories😊

Well of course that was many many years ago when I was a little girl and you could order candy from the catalogs (I'm a grandmother myself now😑😄) We would wear those catalogs out during the holidays looking at the toys! Its sad they no longer have things like that, kiss these days know nothing but electronics, internet, on line shopping, etc. Which I know its very convenient to have the internet and on line shopping but to me its just no where near as fun! I'd love to live back in the 70's again😊

I remember that candy well ! Grandma always had a candy dish of it at Christmas time then we would get a little sack of it in our stocking,along with an apple , orange and candy cane ! Such wonderful memories! ❤️

I was over the moon with the candle. It's funny I didn't even realize what it was the first time I looked at it but when I passed through again it caught my eye and I was so glad it did. I love that verse and so thankful for the goodness of God! God bless you and thank you for watching!

I used snowmen, ice skates, and bears to decorate outdoors but have been cheating inside and pulling out my Valentine items. A lot of people are using the clear glass trees and such for winter decorating but I want to keep those special just for Christmas. Easton is such a good sport shopping with you all. Loved that blow mold snowman! Your Santa plates are very cute! I miss having a Dillards close by me. Fun shopping trip. I feel like I have been in the wilderness.😅

I'm still in struggle mode of taking down Christmas, it always makes me so sad. I don't know why it give me the blues but oh my goodness it does. Looks like I'm gonna have a busy weekend! I haven't shopped in Dillard for years but we used to go every year right after Christmas with my Mom and buy tons of glass ornaments for our trees. It was so fun so to stop in was a trip down memory lane for us. I love the ideas of what you used outside and I'm getting excited about valentine decor. I feel the need to see what kind of vintage valentines I can find for this year. Poor Easton, we talk decor so much that he knows exactly what we like. He is such a good sport and you know he always leaves with some kind of candy treat!!!

My grandma and grandpa had all those plastic molded snowmen and santas all kinds of things. We have no idea where they went but I do know that they would roll over in their grave if they knew how much people are paying for them. Oh my goodness. You know I think about that often when I see the prices of some of these things. It's crazy! Something that cost pennies to them is costing us an arm and a leg. Yes, run to Hobby Lobby, ours still had some good things left at a great deal! I'm guessing everything will go 90 off on Monday. Oh my goodness I remember my grandma used to have that old fashioned candy. I think she called it 'Hard Tack' candy but when I was little I always used to think she was saying 'Heart attack' candy...lol Looks like you had a great day searching for deals! I've never heard of that Gurley candle brand but that is a beautiful turkey candle it will look great for the next year! I never feel motivated to shop the Christmas Clearance but watching you at Hobby Lobby made me think I am missing out. Wishing you guys a very Happy New Year!! so winter decorating has become a thing that everyone is doing....I think I might next year. I will be on the hunt for one of those realistic looking trees like the one you had for Christmas....I want to use the white furry balls and snowflakes and maybe some forest creatures, lol....Happy New Year!

I think winter decor is a way of easing our homes from Christmas decor into something we can enjoy without all the blank spaces. I get really sad taking down my holiday decor so having something I can enjoy for a bit longer brings my heart joy! I’m excited for you to try it next year. I did see that @kingofChristmas was having a huge mark down on their trees. I’m not sure if they still have a tree like mine but you might check it out. I have looked everywhere too. I found some at Big Lots but it wasn't the same as this. So when we happened into Dillard and I saw it I was thrilled. Shocked that the tiny bag was ten dollars...so I'm glad it was 75% off!!!
