Prime makes leasing easy tbh. A lot of people hate on the company but frankly it’s a much better situation than a lot of these other companies. Regardless of if you lease or lease purchase 🤷🏾♂️

@deisellady.... yes the costs as an o/o or lease operator are ur responsibility and can be expensive. But you should be making enough money to cover them and be profitable. When you lease a new truck with prime it comes with a full 500k warranty so most breakdowns if any are covered. And new tires will last a couple of years. So your two biggest expenses will be the truck payment and fuel. But operating the truck properly and efficiently you shouldn't have any big expenses for a couple of years when you have to replace tires. 18 years is too long to be a company driver. You need to make the leap to o/o or lease but with the right company. Everyone eventually needs to move out of their parents house and survive on their own. If you're that hesitant I recommend you start with Prime where you can get a new truck just like Nia and they pay for fuel for you initially and then deduct from payroll later. And you can buy ur tires from them at discounted prices. It's a good place to start and get ur feet wet.

Warranties aren't a fail safe. People really be thinking every expensive issue will be covered.. $4300 for a punctured radiator not covered under warranty. A dealer may not be even remotely close to you when major break down happens.
That fridge came in the truck from the factory and prime just took it out so they can charge you for it even though it came from the factory originally with the truck.
Always so much work to do when you get into a new truck getting it out all outfitted. I’m pretty sure that you did your research before figuring out where you were going to lease. I’ve heard from a lot of prime drivers they do well. Good luck to you. Nia.... the most important thing right now with winter coming is to make sure that APU runs properly before u leave the terminal on dispatch. Bc the truck wont idle until the truck sensor reads below 30 degrees. If it even will idle then. Run that apu for a while while ur there!!
That trim piece in front of your cb just pops off and the radio is secured with a velcro strap. You can use a small screwdriver to pop the clips in the corners to remove the trim and tighten the strap.

The CB has a Velcro strap on that truck usually. The front panel just pops off if you pull it. Then you can tighten the strap. If you don’t have time to go back to the shop, it should be an easy fix you can do. I used to have a Peterbilt at Prime. I installed the CB in mine. I have freightliner at Prime now. I’m on the training pad a lot of the time working with permit drivers. If you need help with anything, just come by. You probably got everything handled though. Be safe out there driver.
Girl I literally have most of that stuff you have besides the trash can. I really just put my trash in a bag then throw it away at the truck stop. My truck color theme is black white and gold. That tray I use on my bed also once my bed is made to hold my iPad. Looks so 🥰 🥰🥰….. my truck really look like my home away from home.
Hey perfect place since you have a second bunk and if there ain't no mattress there if there is take it out but you can make that your dresser for all your clothes you can you can lie all your clothes out the way you want them and all you got to do is bring it down when you need clothes

In your truck tour could you please include the drive train specs and any pros and cons you feel may apply. There is a difference between a gamble and a calculated risk Nia and you have obviously sussed out the opportunity presented - tragic to come to the realisation at a point in the future that you regretted not 'havin' a go'. Prime should be a great fit for a Driver like you who stays out for more than a week or two at a time. They have all of the tools to help you win. They have classes to aid you as well. You can have this if you set your mind to want it.
You should invest in a vacuum for the dog. It was so much hair in the kllm truck when you moved out. You got the truck looking nice. You might have to buy a suburban next so you can move all your stuff just incase you leave again

I remember you left those cabinets in the Kllm truck. Why didn't you just lease a small UHaul type hitch(to your car) and put that stuff in there since you were going right into the new truck? You'd have preserved your property, saved some money and spared yourself a trip to Target.😉😀

As far as your CB radio I think it should be secured with some sort of bracket. Looks like they were lazy and just threw your radio in the available space.
