Maybe she's (the mean one) jealous that the nice girl has other friends than herself. Maybe she doesn't want to share her friends. I know that's not the right thing to do, but some people still do it. You could spend time with the nice girl outside school so that the mean girl couldn't always steal her from you. If this goes on for too long you can try to talk to the nice girl and explain how you feel. She may not even realize what's going on. I've also started High School on a brand new place where I didn't know anyone. At first I was really upset that I didn't have much friends but we just have to give time to ourselves and not blame ourselves :) Be kind to yourself! :) I hope this helped!
