Shore & Boat Fishing for Bass on the South Coast - Hard Work, But We Found a Few! 

So this was very much a day of two halves.
Morning was spent chasing bass with topwaters from the shore on an estuary mark. Despite biblical amounts of mullet and baitfish, we just couldn't find any bass though! Conditions were almost perfect, but it just wasn't happening.
We then had that difficult choice - stick around and hope things improve with the later stages of the tide, or implement Plan B. That meant heading off to get the boat and blasting out to a couple of other parts of the harbour to see if we could find some diving birds. We went with the latter. Probably the right choice in the end! All in all a tough day, but still a lot of fun.
