Well guys, back at the Beach in this one. I was fishing one of my favourite marks in wexford. I had the father with me, he is only getting into beach fishing this year and had a blast, lots of dogs to keep us busy for the night.
We were using black lug, mackerel, blue fish and squid.

I was excited to see what could be caught from shore over there in the old country. Turns out its the same thing as here. 😂 Its good you got the old man out with you.

Yea man dogfish everywhere 🤣🤣🤣. Better than a blank. Ah yea it's good that get himself out. It's his first year at it. In the next few weeks we will have Tope, Smooth hounds and all sorts arriving so it will get interesting and a lot bigger. Tight lines buddy 🎣🎣🎣

Hello. Do you ever cast lures when surf fishing? Here in the states we throw a variety of lures in addition to set rigs when surf fishing.

Well buddy, yea we throw lures in the surf to, mainly for Bass off the beach and from the rocks we get pollack, bass, mackerel and wrasse. I normally only bring one set up at a time, I find it more relaxing not having to pay attention to the bottom rods while I'm lure fishing.

how big of a rod do u need and how far out does the bait need to be?

You just need a beach caster, they start out about 12ft and go up from there. It depends on what your fishing for regarding bait but can't go wrong with crab, rag worm and lug worm is good too. I normally bring 2 rods and cast one as far as I can and the other around 20yards out and get results on both.
