Golra station was beautiful with large Banyan trees and antiques articles.The pointsman seems to be hardworking and responsible gentleman.Altogerher nice doc. Love frm railfan 🇮🇳
In India this system is gone long back. Now only at Lonawala station in Maharashtra this system is still functional. In 2016 some British officers had visited this station but they failed to operate this manual system because they had never seen such a primitive system.
Yes india is much advanced in railways now, in pakistan main line from lahore to karachi is using CBI system, semaphore system is only working in branch line sections and some part of main line

AS IT IS HERE MUCH HAS BEEN CHANGED SINCE MY FIRST DAY OF RR SERVICE IN SEPT 16 1964 THANK YOU FOR SHOWING THE DIFFERENT CRAFTS OF RR WORK ! IT IS ALSO VERY INTERESTING TO SEE SOME OF THE SMALL DETAILS OF THE EQUIPMENT! BUT THANKS MOST OF ALL FOR THE PORTRAYAL OF THE WORKERS! I WOULD BE PROUD TO HAVE WORKED WITH THESE GUYS OVER THERE, OR WITH THEM IF THEY WERE HERE! KEEP THEM ROLLING BROTHERS!
So beautiful, full justice was done to the theme of the video. Slow and beautiful music/captures. I came across the hidden gems of Paksitan from the book 'Relics of the Raj' (1985), which showed Pakistan continued to have many British era Steam engines, while we in India rapidly moved to dieselisation. Now in 2022, I guess those locomotives must be defunct and replaced there too.
I worked in Indian railway as Station Master for 5 years. I have worked on both semaphore and electronic interlocking infact my Station was converted from mechanical interlocking to electronic interlocking in 2018 and I received the reconnection from S&T Dept . Both Indian and Pakistan Railway run on same rules AND 1676 MM.
Respect your thoughts & experience, and wish that Pakistan Railways could learn something from indian railways, you guys have done remarkable job in the field Railways

Third rate documentary because lack of knowledge & no professional behavior of Pakistan railways staff... They didn't kw how to elaborate.. This is the place I have visited. This place is more interesting than what he said. It would have been better if the film director had told the story himself.
