Firstly thank you for telling me what the lyric actually are about since I'm not an English speaker so if I DO miss understand or don't get the lyric means/jokes it's my problem so anyway I'm glad you tells me. Secondly as I always said I don't think there is only one way to interpret every songs lyric, I think they can be interpreted in its own way when people hear it. I understand that what you're saying about the understanding of lyrics are right, and I was just draw of how I felt when I first heard the song, so I don't want you to accuse me of "ruining" something only because my interpret of the song seems different with yours. And regarding your comment that I didn't get the right way to use the song, I'm sorry that it seems that my drawing skills are not good enough for you to understand that my understanding of the song should be similar to yours. IT IS NOT a petty dismissal or protest.", I wanted to ask which of part or did every part made you think that I was drawing Kankri to dismissal or protest others? Frankly, I used this song to draw Kankri because on the one hand I thought it was voice appropriate and I thought it would be fun to draw. On the other hand, I think this song suits kankri as a "past tense" leader who may tired of keeping the peace of his teammates or practicing his own peace theory, so in the scene he takes away mituna's ladder or walks away from the conversation with others because he want「get out of all these things」while not 「dismissal or protest」. So if you want to accuse me of not drawing what I want to express, then I'm sorry that my poor drawing skills has affected your viewing experience, if you still accuse me of my understanding are wrong or I ruining the song because of that, then I will have nothing more to say, you also failed to understand my joke and my point of this song, congratulation^^
Kankri having a smooth voice because he doesn't destroy his voice as much as Karkat does by screaming is extremely compelling and I am obligated to back this headcanon now. In fact now I sant his friends to have recordings of his long levtures to fall asleep to. They give zero shits about the content, they just want his droning to knock them the fuck out.
