To hear (and watch) second-generation EMD power (such as these CCET units) so "healthy" and vibrant is an absolute pleasure. SD40-2 #3512 -- taking the lead -- "says it all". His P3 horn even sounds in-tune 🎼🎶and in good shape 💪!!
“Watcha never seen a train before? “ What a miserable soul! WE ALL LOVE WHAT YOU DO!! So many people hate so much, everyone and everything, but mostly THEMSELVES. I can’t even imagine the life he’s living, JT, you are ❤ by all of us! Carry on Lieutenant!
Well, the Sardine people really gotta packed in train to start today's video. Nothin' fishy 'bout that catch. You schooled us well, Señor Jaws. Gracias por tu video. RT sends, Puebla, México...
28:38 the older DME reporting mark was showing on the hopper. The Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern was a regional RR operating on the former CNW "Alco" line from Minnesota into South Dakota and elsewhere from 1986 until 2016. They had a hodge podge of hoppers like what CCET uses although they did have some new hoppers towards the end. And good to see the 2 old Soo Line hoppers still hauling grain and not fertilizer yet.
Superb video on the CCET. A proper train and looking very smart with 3 locomotives all spruced up in that lovely black and red livery. It's a great little railroad and certainly looking the part these days. Thank you for taking the time to give us an extended look at your local short line railroad. I look forward to seeing developments on CCET they're definitely my highlight of the week and with the Dupps train in the same week it's really made my day!
Thank you for recording this fabulous train video I admire you for your sincere efforts in making your videos you have the talent and that is something special love the sound of whistles and bells
There around 30:00 you can tell those cars are loaded heavy by the screeching and crunching like sound of the wheels running over the rails. Cool video. JT.
Fun fact: When a fast train is approaching an intersection, you’ll notice that the horn sounds higher as it’s approaching and sounds lower as the locomotive passes. This is caused by the speed of the train effecting the sound waves. Sound waves can’t go either faster or slower, so they bunch together in front of the train creating a higher frequency. Then the sound waves behind the locomotive are spread farther apart because the train is moving away, this creates the lower sound. Pretty cool, right?
Today it's watching the trains in Sardinia Ohio at the crossings and seeing them at work on the train tracks, as well as seeing the pet's in action playing in the yard and the train slideshows another great video Thank You Jaw Tooth.🤠👍 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
The grain cars even "sounded" heavy - - love this vid - - an actual and complete train day with switching and the like rolled into a very cool video, very interesting to observe and have some understanding of what these guys are actually doing thanks to the perfect amount of explanation & information injected along the way- - thanks Jawtooth.
Thank you for the long vid! Love having it in the background, after I’ve watched the whole thing; while I’m cooking orb doing other things atone the house!
Those CCET locomotives were awesome. Cool love action. Long train. 😊We have bats here in Georgia too. They are good for sand snats and mosquitoes it's awesome watching trains switching.😊 I have a question. Do engineers have to wear ear muffs because of the loud horns when they blow them?😮 Thanks for another awesome video Mr JT ❤😊Your sweet animals make me smile ❤😊
Oh say You remember when CCET FIRST SPOTTING A SWITCHER ENGINE HERE ON GRAIN SPUR AND THE RAIL STARTED TO SPREAD ON THEM DID YOU FILM ANY REBUILDING OF THE GRAIN SPUR ... WE NOTICE THIS IS ONE OF JAWTOOTH FAVORITE CUSTOMERS ...WE ENJOY IT TOOI😊😅😮😢🎉😂❤❤❤❤❤
Cincinnati Eastern Railroad locomotive sound always very nice . Today train is very long and I can look switching seen . I'm very glad . Thank you very much .
Oooo! Short line switching. Live action at its best. Just needed some Huhtamaki boxcars to hit all types on the line. Great video. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Great catch JT. I think this is probably the longest train I have seen on the CCET to date. I think I counted 50 cars before the Winchester pick-up of 20 more. Then 6 dropped off at Winchester, for a net of 64. Did you catch the old CNW logo on the 6th car out of Winchester Ag and the Soo logo on the 16th and 17th cars out? Thanks for a great one.
I see the dogs have bonded well with the edition of Loki. ❤ The Dupps line is also a favorite with 1960 Gambit & Lost Depot 😮 Didn't previously know the connection was that close. 😮
If I was a kid on one of those school buses while that train is going by, I would be enjoying myself. Hopefully, I'd be sitting in the front seat of the bu,s!
If I’m not mistaken it had 49 cars unless I missed one but I don’t think I did but anyway another great video and that’s the longest train I’ve ever seen on that track
Hurraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, short-line-action on the CCET. Wonderfull catch. Thanks for that video. That was realy a long train for this short-line. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven
Thank you, Jaw Tooth, for pointing out the valuable role that bats play in the environment. It's good they're no longer the misunderstood creatures of old.
I have a video from Indiana where I found a bat. I was on an old abandoned military base that had railroads going all over the place between the abandoned buildings. I opened this huge thick steel door and there was a bat hibernating there. That was pretty cool. Bats are very animals to have. While I was typing this I just remembered seeing one sleeping under my porch roof a few years ago. I see them flying around my farm a lot. I want to get one of those bat houses.
Good Morning JT, I love all these little towns that you go to. I always enjoy your videos. Great switching action. That engine #1657 had a wonky bell on it, listen to it again and you will see what I'm talking about. Cheers SIR from Ontario 🇨🇦 I see that railroad employee stayed for the roll by to make sure everything was good on the train. Guy in white car can eat crow. Man those engines are some quiet. Why only 4 axle trains aloud on the grain spur? When you said that I was literally looking at the axle difference of the engines. Nice Ex SOO LINE car.
The grain spur has really old track with a sharp curve and lighter rail. The rail is dated in the 20s and a lot of the ties need replaced. They have had a few small derailments and they are afraid that a large locomotive will come off the track. Thanks for watching!
😅thanks for this amazing video Brian.have a nice weekend with yor familie. i gonna watch now 1 cabrid with the 4K cam on the front from one German steamlokomotif fro the S.S.N.😅greetz:🍐Peer.😅i send you that video from cabview holland/Master Vincent.train driver from the NS here.😅
The Winchester Ag rail just off the switch at 57:17! I guess if it's safe, it's safe. The Right Of Way is right through backyards so cool. The riding lawnmower..the guy in the blue shirt that walked down to watch.. "FALSETOBER" "BIZAREBUKE" I've seen the Win Ag crossing/spur before.. there's never any vehicle traffic
