22 days existence of: State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs (Serbo-Croatian: Država Slovenaca, Hrvata i Srba) proclaimed in 29 oktober 1918 till 1 December 1918. Serbs didn't liked being last so the whole county was renamed into Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.
Wrong, they changed the country name because the Kingdom of Serbia joined the union and the serbs were the majority (it doesn't even matter because it was later renamed Yugoslavia)

That is why the renaming and change of politics happened so rapidly. Thus allied Sebs got their Kingdom SHS same initials but in different order SERBS, Croatians and.. slovenes. @@J4Koro dude i live in Bosnia i know what im fucking talking about, shs (slovenes first) was a state containing todays Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia. There were 3 nationalitys in this state (slovenes, croats and in a slight minority serbs). This was a poor state that joined with THE KINGDOM OF SERBIA (todays serbia) to create a new kingdom named The Kingdom of Serbs Croats and Slovenes (later changed to The Kingdom of Yugoslavia) This kingdom was under a Serbian monarch and was later destroyed by the germans and ustashe in WW2. Croatian people can't handle the fact that they were under a Serbian king for some time. (dude just check Wikipedia if u don't trust me)
A very interesting short lived country was the Roman Republic of 1849, which lasted from the 9th of February of that year until the 3rd of July. It was formed by Carlo Emanuele Muzzarelli under the blessing of Pope Pius IX once he left the Papal States in exile and stopped existing when the French entered Rome and reinstated the Holy See’s power

@Khalid Yes so lets look at other African nations who are killing each other in civil wars while south Africa IS beating up blacks, america is still beating up blacks, south america is throwing communist out of helicopters and selling drugs, Canada, Asia, Australia, and most of Europe all have too low of an actual black citizens to even judge except Yugoslavia who are killing Muslims in the name of ethnic cleansing all the way up to the 90's so Rhodesia who is including blacks into the military giving them social benefits and stopping tribes from fighting and showing them western agriculture seem pretty progressive compared to say american who didn't even let them drink from the same water fountain. Rhodesia was a place where blacks and whites worked together in the military. It did have major flaws in its electoral system. Zimbabwe is in a terrible state now. 20,000 Black Nebele members were killed by the 5th Brigade in Matebeleland. That's awful. Joshua Nkomo even said that Ian Smith was better than Mugabe when he fled into temporary exile.

Another one is the West Indies Federation, a union of British Caribbean colonies. It didn't last long because the small islands didn't like that the bigger ones had more say. And there was limited freedom of movement since the big islands didn't want people to abandon the smaller ones
the republic was called ezo (after ainu) but the island is hokkaido, they didn't name the republic after the island, the name is its own, and its name in japanese is 蝦夷共和国 (Ezo Kyōwakoku)
