I'm recently qualified and my grandmother has this hair cut but she got very curly hair. My question I wanted to ask is the first bit you do round the side of face working towards the back are you over extending it the further you get back to give gradual length cause I always struggle to do her sides with her being curly. Hi Natalie. Congratulations for your qualification. For curly hair is different from each and every person who has curly hair because the curls can be small, or large. What works good for most of the time is to bring the the section you want to cut to the previous section that has been cut. You are going to have a round graduation slightly longer at the back of the head. When you cut the first section, pay attention to how the hair is falling naturally, preferably cut the first section longer, and then decide what to do next. If you want to go shorter cut it again, and when you see a good shape than you can start the haircut. Let me know if have any questions. Thankyou she has quite large curls so is abit unforgiving if I cut wrong it falls funny 😂 luckily she isn't overly sensitive about it and easily pleased. I will try this technique for the sides cause I usually struggle to grab the hair using the method college taught me but I will cut it long and work down. Like you said I can take more off but I can't put it back on 😂👍 thankyou
