I think his pride is obvious when he talks about the players and coaches who advanced to the next level. He seems genuinely happy when he talks about the quiet guys who went D1 but didn't get more than 5 mins of screen time because they didn't bring any drama to the show. I had a pop warner coach who used to run me ragged to make weight. He used to call me fat all the time and humiliated me often. 2 years later I grew like 8 inches and was a workout freak. I got shredded and ended up playing QB. He showed up to my first freshman game and I was dying to confront him after the game. I even told my high school coach about it as I was standing there clocking him. Oddly enough, my high school coach said, "well you should probably go thank him because you just told me that this guy motivated you to lose weight and prove him wrong and here you are". He was right. And when I went to talk to my old coach after the game he was so fuckin happy. He practically suffocated me with a hug and he asked me to drop by a practice to talk to the younger kids. Was an amazing moment.

Evan McCullor I don’t feel like digging into it. Read his book. Pay attention to the part when he explains where he went to school growing up. Look at a map. Make it all add up in your head. I have no problem with JB but his back story is a script and not even close to reality. REAL RECOGNIZE REEL
