Great plug for Once Were Warriors with Hone reading the book in the scene halfway thru. Wonder if he was filming it at the same time.

So... we're just about to start September 1993 from this point and given the amount of things which haven't happened yet and characters who haven't debuted or returned yet... Damn, we're in for some action packed months. (Also bloody stoked to see Carmen back.)

Once were warriors came out a year later in 1994 so filming must've begun earlier. A bit of foreshadowing, Shorty? It looks like it.
