You can hear Mariah faintly in the background during the Hone\Meredith scene at Kennedy's.

So I have had a listen and it's not Mariah but Aisha and the Fan Club which was a great band from the late 80's early 90's.

There are occasions you can hear Mariah Carey's Make It Happen (from her Emotions album) over the top of the Fan Club track.

@@andrewbarton2590 it's very faint can't really make it out but that's plausible. Anyway Shortland Street had great music back then, and it gives us a chance to rediscover classic 90's Mariah tracks like Someday, Can't let go or make it happen
