I have used the X5 for a number of rounds and it has been great. Quick GPS connection, only one missed shot in 7 rounds, very minor editing required mainly on the green which takes about 5 minutes on my PC. The types of stats recorded are fantastic and really useful. I had the V3 before which is excellent but the X5 is a definite upgrade .
Have only used it for 1 round of 9 holes. Score was 39 and it picked up 22 shots. Basically didn't pick up any putts when set on auto. I pin collected every hole and entered number of putts. I also entered my score for each hole but neither of these 2 actions are actually used to ensure that the recorded number of shots but for each hole I'd correct. Not impressed so far but will see how further rounds perform in manual putts. But why have auto if it doesn't work?
I have been using the X5 for 6 games. So far my experience with shot tracking is that it requires 30minutes of editing post round. GPS lock is better since the software update last week. It locks within 20 seconds compared to 3 to 5 minutes before the update. Scoring is unreliable. You should keep a scorecard.
