Shotgun Operator | Polenar Tactical 

*FAQ* - this is a cinematic video, not a realistic shooting drill (read description) - first two shots are less than lethal rubber balls for a non-compliant suspect - after "real" shots from a second suspect less than lethal rounds are unloaded and slugs are loaded - shotgun used is the Benelli M3 super 90 and yes, it can fire in pump action or semi-auto mode (change at 2:19)

This was better than some of the movies coming out of Hollywood.

What I can and do appreciate about the proper , proficient, and professional use of a Shotgun is that the 🔥💥 Arm is not used as if It were a replacement for a Rifle ( M27 IAW) or Carbine ( M4A1 SOPMOD), as well as I AM impressed with the Shooter Downrange,and His proper use.

I like how you blend entertainment (i.e. cinematic/dramatic elements) with education (i.e. demonstrating solid tactics). The tactical reloads, primary to secondary transitions, switching from buckshot to slugs on the fly, keeping your eyes on the threat, good muzzle awareness, good use of cover, etc. It's cool to see all of that demonstrated in a scenario while also making me feel like I'm watching a low-budget action movie with a great technical advisor.

Open action, bring left hand over shell in side saddle with brass on the bottom cup shell in hand slide over receiver, put shell in open action move left hand to the forearm and close action. A pump shotgun may not have a round in it but is never truly empty!

Moving and shooting the proper way : showing an exemplar trigger discipline and a very good weapon handling, always shooting weight forward as well as some perfect made weapon switches and tactical reloads/magazine changes. Yeah, to me your videos are the definition of a "clean", precise and safe way to work !!! +1 for the cameraman tool (well filmed, HQ video, just pleasant to watch) Keep on like that !! I don't understand why you had the Benelli set to pump first when you know the shots you use will feed in semi auto or why did you switched to pistol for the second target when using shotgun will still be effective at laying down effective fire from that range.

which shotgun was that? he was shooting pump action at the beginning of the video and it seems like once he got into the woods he was shooting semi auto.

I see all the movement and function but any other reason why you would unload the buck shot from the first load in shotgun? Aside from the range?

The driver was shot by a 13 year old with a bolt action .22 he was hiding in the tree line , he wore joggers jeans and a knitted jumper he got last Christmas . While the "shotgun operator " proceeded into the scrub to look for more timber targets the boy disabled the car and went back to position on the timberline, when the "shotgun operator" returned to the vehicle he found it would not start, he was also shot. The boy collected all the "Tactical" shit on the persons and in the car, sold it all and bought more .22 ammo and a map of his local area. The end .

Well respect to you guys, this is one damn good scenario ! It could and should be used to shoot a scene in an action movie imho Makes a very good script for an exercise for law enforcement officers, too. How many rounds does the shotgun you used hold exactly ? The last tactical reload looks like it holds a hundred rounds xD

One question from someone who has not fired a shotgun ever. I've seen a moment when the shooter holds the cannon as a billiard stick. What's the purpose of this movement?
