Excellent show, so reminiscent of his 70s at 7 from K-Earth 101in Los Angeles, I would go out there (from the East Coast) once or twice a year and the first thing I did was put the rental car radio on 101.1 to hear Shotgun Tom, now I don't have to travel 3,000 miles to hear him, YAY!

I was delighted and humbled by the honor to meet Shotgun Tom Kelly several times during the 1990s when we both lived & worked in the San Diego area; he was there at the Corvette Diner which was my favorite hang-out too and I got to ask him some questions about his wonderful career and he was gracious to answer every one. A true gentleman, he is; The Best!
I was lucky enough to work with Tom in the early 90s in San Diego. Besides being an absolute ICON, LIVING LEGEND in radio broadcasting, he is one of THE VERY NICEST, MOST THOUGHTFUL people i've ever known. We would go have dinner at a little place called Lido's. We called it "going to do the Lido shuffle" after the song by Boz Scaggs. I've been pretty lucky to have seen and done some great things in my life but those simple dinners with him are some of my best memories of San Diego! To anyone who says don't meet your heroes- you should have a hero like Shotgun. If everyone were 1/4 as nice as he is, the problems in our world would end overnight... think about that for a minute...
I remember listening to Shotgun Tom back in the mid 70's in San Diego. What a legend - and for good reason! He is a total pro - one of the all time best in the business!
I LOVE TOM! The first time I hear Tom was on K-EARTH 101, when we used to vacation in L.A. back in 2009. Back then K-EARTH 101 was an oldies format with great music. Now its overtaken by iHeart Radio and its an 80's/90's Hits station. But I'll always remember Shotgun Tom Kelly and the 70's on 7 on the old K-EARTH 101! Glad to hear him now on Sirius/XM. Tom is a living legend in radio! Keep it up Tom!
Actually, K-EARTH 101 FM is an Audacy station. Not only K-EARTH 101 FM plays 1980s and 1990s hit songs, it also plays 2000s and 2010s hit songs like "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga.
without no doubt in my mind shotgun Tom Kelly is definitely one of the best DJs that I've listen to back in the days of k-earth 101. I even got the privilege to meet him in person a long time ago back in 2013
Satellite radio has it all over current local programs. Phlash Phelps is amazing in the morning and Shotgun Tom finishes off each broadcast day with class and style.
talk ups to the vocal on a record ended in the late sixties bro--why the meaningless gibbrish by all these sirius gents and a dearth of original content days and nites but we have little or no choice so sad sad sad sad--not to mention the breakfast with the beatles dude who constantly repeats show after show after show----time to find new blood pleasssseeeeeee
