I think he should try condensing and releasing his ice from his hands as well. Imagine beams of freezing cold mist that can make a heaven splitting ice wall upon contact. Increasing his ranged attacks. He can freeze over his hands to make an ice claw or something. jeez this niggas a powerhouse
Since he can create and control ice and fire, I always wondered if he could use it similarly to Momo's quirk? If he created weapons like knives or spears etc out of his ice and fire. Endeavor can literally create fire spears so if shoto trains hard enough he should be able to do the same thing. Also, in the spots festival he made the air explode by cooling it down then suddenly heating it up, this guy's quirk can also be used like Bakugo's explosion. If he quickly cools down the air around him (but only near him) then heats it up he can make explosions that launch him or enemies away. It'd take some crazy quirk control though.
I've always wanted shoto to utilize both his fire and ice to produce wind drafts by combining various temperatures in a small area. He would essentially be able to produce mini tornados or air blasts with them
He does have a move that causes an air blast. The one he used at the Sports Festival. He does make it into a full on move and uses it on a smaller scale at some point. Flashfreeze Heatwave. Lowers the air's temperature with his ice and rapidly heats it up, causing a burst in the air. Its crazy when you think about the fact that the explosion during the sports festival was caused by Todoroki alone. Deku's punch was absorbed by Cementos' wall, so even the wind pressure wouldn't have gone further. The gigantic boom, was from Todoroki freezing and heating up the air quickly. ITs crazy.
I think we could see some smaller, and more controlled versions of; "Flash Freeze Heatwave." If he cupped his hands together in a certain way, he could fire bursts of steam as if they were bullets or cannon balls. Actually because, all that is necessary for the pure kinetic force of "Flash Freeze Heatwave" is the rapid decompression of the Water Molecules in Shotos ice. Shoto can theoretically keep the blast going as long as he can produce the Ice (fuel) and Fire(Igniter). TD;RL Shoto can *fire* Steam Kamehameha's.
@@cmonbruh6769 yeah. He really can't. He can generate and shape ice to a certain degree but his quirk isn't cryokinesis. Geten has that quirk and its way different to Shoto's ice half.
I want him to create mist with his ice to hide and evade and stealth, steam to stop melee villains like stain getting too close. Creating circles or squares of ice to trap villains that can't be stopped with their legs being frozen.

Haxcks technically yes but you have to remember Quirks are just like the muscles in your body and if you over use them to much you may run the possibility of damaging them
@@jetbell Yes and no. That analogy is used for quirks having drawbacks. But they also strengthen their quirks by effectively overusing them and pushing them to their limits. He cannot "damage" his quirk so to speak. No one can, their quirks can damage THEM from overuse. In Deku's case that's simple, as it ends up with the same sorta damage as overpushing your physical body does. Bones break, tendons snap etc. Shoto's case, his quirks' drawbacks is the danger of hypothermia and heatstroke respectively. The whole point of breeding this specific quirk, was to eliminate that drawback. His quirk is perfect in that sense, but still needs him to perfect his mastery over it to reap the benefits. There's actually a bit of a plothole/nerf for Todoroki after the sports festival. When Deku gets him to ignite his flames, he ends up using both his ice and fire at the same time. Cuz he fires a giant icewall at deku, whilst his left side is flaming. His potential is shown there, as that ice wall is MASSIVE, way bigger than the one he used on Sero, but at the LEAST on par with it. Except when he did it to Sero, nearly his whole right side frosted over. This time though he keeps pushing the ice out with 0 drawbacks. Cuz his flames are offsetting his body's temperature, nullifying the drawback from the ice. This is however removed going onward, as during the camp it's said that "one day he could be able to use both sides at the same time" and then later during the license exam Todoroki himself comments on how having to switch between the two sides is slowing him down massively. Despite us seeing him use both sides at the same time at the sports festival. But after that we always see him turn off one side before activating the other. Anyways, that was me getting a bit sidetracked. Realistically, once Shoto masters his quirk fully, his output of ice and fire will be pretty much unlimited, and without any danger to himself. Guy could continuously fire off blue flames, or go beyond that even, white flames and not actually suffer the backlash from it. Its his own body's physical stamina that limits him if it does at all (cuz even if he can fire off giant blasts without a worry, that doesnt mean he can fight forever, he still has a human body), but his power itself is technically supposed to be unlimited. The tie on this is likely that it would/will take him a long time to harness the full potential of his power.
Instead of an ice or fire veil, I would have him create steam all around him and the battlefield making it harder for close combat or for ranged attacks to land. He could also use the steam to increase his impact of his punches and kicks as well as blast more steam from his body to repel attacks, and yes he needs better mobility
Endevour made his perfect child. So id like todoroki to be stuggling againt his quirk for this. Its so complex evolution must be hard. It being a reaction to trying to trick nature
You know it seems Todoroki has a big weakness against high mobility fighters however he could counter this by either freezing the their feet or burning the oxygen in they air forcing any fliers to come down to the grownd
I feel like that's something I could learn from Endeavor, as I've seen fire could help him improve his speed as Endeavor uses his fire to speed up his moves and to stay up to date in a melee battle, I train his skills in combat. Endeavor is a more experienced and older version of Todoroki's future fire skills. Endeavor is able to change the color of its flames from red to blue (being stronger than red, they burn faster), thus stopping the regeneration of a Nomu, the more likely that Todoroki will be able to do that later . That boy is a diamond in the rough.
M.o.l.a true but it will at least be a long time before todoroki asks for endeavors training, though it is possible he figures it out on his as we saw in the stain fight he doesn’t do to well in hand to hand combat so maybe he could add on some hero equipment to add some protection in hand to hand especially against somebody like bakugo or kirishima who can either just blast through anything he throws or just tank it like a man
I like that the fact "flash freeze" became a thing. It is such an awesome move and make so much sense. He is currently still not good enough at his fire to use flash fire but instead he can use the teaching's from his dad on his frost side and was capable of completly shutting down an terrifying foe in the movie.
Have you seen the popularity polls? Bakugo always becomes 1st in the and Deku gets 2nd. The Highest Todoroki got was 2nd place which was 1 out of the currently 6 popularity polls. The new popularity poll is most likely gonna release in couple weeks. So we dont know if he will get higher or lower because shits going down in manga.
@@stephaniee6564 well, because Shoto slowly became more of a secondary character. His focus was more on Season 2 and the Endeavor Agency arc. Oh and the difference in Votes of Deku and Todoroki are either close like in the 3rd Popularity Poll where Deku passed Shoto by 1 vote or the current ones which where Deku gets 2000-3000 more votes than him.
@plot armor what do you think about his quirk evolution being on a mental level. What if his past trauma n always trying to suppress his flame side was a way to shut out his father caused him to only be able to use the fire n ice on separate sides signifying his INTERNAL struggle. Now that endeavor is trying to atone for his sins n we can see that shoto is learning to forgive him , may cause his quirk to evolve to use fire n ice on either side with no drawbacks showing his growth mentally n physically. Really want to know what ppl think of this hope you can talk about it
Good theory but I doubt it will be on a mental scale. Most likely dabi will nearly kill him during the war arc causing him to evolve and keep up with bakugou and deku. Or if the theory is true and he’s slowly forgiving him then Endeavor dies it evolves which will give him more respect of his father.It’s either way Dabi really wants to kill Todo and since Dabis firepower is stronger he will most likely be in the brink of death since Dabi barely has been injured

I think if he ever had a quirk awakening, it would either give him the ability to emit ice and fire from both sides from his body or allow him to control and manipulate ice and fire, to the level of endeavour.
Well the other thing is the possible combination attacks, such as the steam explosion he makes in the school festival arc, or a brittling attack something that alternates between his two extreme temperatures to cause it to shatter, break, or even temper it. Heating metal to instantly freezing making it break or fall apart. Or being able to strengthen Tetsu’s metal skin power by essentially using a slower cool down to temper him.
There's not only blue fire, but there's blue ice as well. It's not only extremely cold, but it's also extremely dense and tough, plus making him all blue could thematically mirror his calm intensity, as well as match his suit.

What if Shoto is still only using half of his quirk and he doesn't even know it, like what if it is quick isn't half hot half cold but just hot and cold as in he can create ice and fire from both sides of his body and the reason he only does it on one side is because of a mental block he doesn't know he has to want to keep his his a****** of a father separated from his kind and loving mother
Sofia Cortes I’m not sure but I think his training was more about being able to use both powers more fluidly, switching faster and with stronger attacks.
Bakagou really needs to get a lot stronger with his awakening because deku is already like his equal and he's like a quarter way to the BEGINNING of his mastery of his quirk (not to mention his other quirks)
I have to say, he could also basically become a water bender and flood areas, he could create water vapor and make the air unbreathable and last of all hs could controll the weather by creating weather fronts by heating some areas and cooling others
I can almost imagine him making like.. A kind of turret with ice. A cylinder that can be loaded with a large ice javelin, and a column of ice is called up to force it out of the turret at a high speed- or even using this to launch allies or flaming objects. A creative mind can do a lot with ice!

Fun fact:Todoroki has 4 quirks. He can make ice, melt it, and make water, he can make fire and add in his ice, he can make gas (something close to the gas that fire or burning coal makes)
Note that going on the the way that colours of Fire-Bending were represented in The Last Airbender (with Asuka), it's entirely possible that possessing blue flames actually implies insanity (as neither Dabi, nor Endevour seem to be playing with a full deck), making them a less than positive goal. Dabi's ability seems more like manipulating superhot plasma (where it's spitting out photons at higher energy state) making it appear to glow blue. Techniques: • Heat water hot enough in a very confined space (say a bubble of constantly regenerating iron-hard ice) & you get enough pressurized steam to disintegrate even high-end nomu at close range. • Todoroki definitely needs to work on his close up / mêlée combat. Working with Deku would seem to be a decent idea, especially given Deku's speed & resiliency - he wouldn't need to hold back much at all. Generating & manipulating ice throwing knives & shuriken, as well as swords, whips, or morning stars out of both ice & fire, would be highly effective (& a great improvement). • Ice can be electrically conductive, so working with Kaminari to come up with some team moves, would also be useful. • But the most important thing, that he absolutely needs to work on, is not freezing/burning everyone around him - especially his comrades (which he almost has on several occasions).
Imagine him being able to use fire and ice on both sides of his body, allowing him to let loose his flames a little more by cooling himself down while making hotter flames until it gets to the point where its plasma

Todoroki already has an ice slide/dash (used it during the physical portion of the recommended exam) and a fire/ice dash technique (used it recently in the manga), so he’s got traversal done. Obviously could use a bit more traversal techniques, but he already has some.
i dont think it would be possible but imma put it here. Everyone probably knows about bigchill in big ten. Whats more intriguing is his ultimate evolution ultimate big chill. Ultimate big chill can basically shoot at freezing breaths but has a burning ticking effect and vice versa. Imagine that shot being a pro hero in his 20's-30's freezing while burning villains left and right.
Ive always had the idea for uraraka quirk developing to control the gravity of what ever she touches completely, meaning aswell as making things float, she can increase the gravitational pull on someone or something to the point they cannot move and allow her to make devastating projectile attacks by increasing the force objects can be dropped opponent
If he adds tiny wooden balls to his arsenal then he can utilize more tactical fire strikes, or use rubber to bounce around walls, then freeze before contact to make it solid and slam into the enemy along with the ice blast.
Shoto can really increase his ability to the max if he understands more about the temperature of his body when he is using one side of his quirk. If he can naturally balance the amount of fire and ice he uses there's a chance he can stand up to Endeavor in some cases. Shoto should come up with some new strategizing plans, Do u know how chisaki Can bring up Those rock pillars from the ground? let my boy shoto do that with the fire side, He can already create pillars of ice but just huge ones so I'm pretty sure he can make them small to minimize the cold he's using. The fire we already know he should throw fire balls, trapping his enemies in a fire wall, He definitely needs a supernova attack not like friezas I'm talking about like his own supernova he can generate with his body but that might burn him alive because all the fire he using. Well those are my thoughts what are yours :).
What if Shoto was able to combine his hot and cold powers into something electric like Garnet? I imagine it'd be practically uncontrollable, but could be a useful wildcard in a specific pinch

Instead of an instant blast of electricity, Shoto would instead have to charge up a small whirling storm-ball in his hands like a rasengan and that would produce the uncontrollable bolts of lightning
JSevion Horikoshi wouldn’t do that though. Narratively and thematically, it wouldn’t make sense for Shoto’s character. Shoto is op enough, he wouldn’t let physics give him a new power.

JSevion And guess what. The author didn’t make that scene. That was an anime only scene. Here’s the thing. He wouldn’t need electricity. He’s already op enough. And it would feel cheap considering someone else ,in his class for that manner, has a quirk specifically dedicated to electricity. It’d be useless fan-service. He doesn’t need it. Horikoshi just wouldn’t give him electricity. MHA hasn’t exactly followed the realm of science close enough to suggest that Horikoshi would actually do this anyways. His entire character is centered around fire and ice. Adding in lightning just wouldn’t make sense thematically.
I think itd be great for his manipulation to span his whole body and simultaneously using both elements so he could have protective ice covering him and trapping/slowing enemies, but also being able to use powerful flames (maybe even superheated plasma at some point?) To now down his enemies through projectiles or ice weapons clad in flames
Elementalist heroes are often fundamental strongest having to hold back for the good of those around them if nothing else and young todoroki is proof of that. A greater hero than his father he soon will be
A better improvement than all of these would be being able to use ice and fire on their opposite respective sides, as in ice on the left, and fire on the right. And being able to use both at once. As in fire on both sides or ice on both sides
Next to All For One, Half Hot Half cold is one of my favorite Quirks. The best way I could of described it would be a coin flip, on the one side Todoroki can use ice that would make Mr. Freeze or Elsa jealous. On the other he has his dad's flames that could counter the cooling effects of his ice. That's another thing I would describe about his Quirk: perfect balance or near perfect. There's always something about fire and ice that just goes hand in hand, maybe it's the fact that their two opposing elements or a byproduct of Endeavor's Quirk Eugenics. One thing I'd like to see for Todoroki's quirk evolution is actually being able to manipulate heat and cold, since his quirk is called Half Cold Half Hot, but should really be called Half Ice Half Fire. Another could be manipulating his ice like he manipulates fire, and manipulating his fire like his ice. Todoroki is my favorite, and it makes me sad that him not being the protagonist or his rival means he probably won't be on par with Deku or Bakugo for long.
Todoroki's power combination reminds me of that pokemon from the pokemon xyz movie that controls water and fire and can create steam burst. If todoroki can concentrate and combine his ice and fire powers together he can create a powerful steam canon can do serious physical damage to enemies as he can easily scald them
He is the protagonist and has the strongest power in the series, in most shonen the protagonist is the strongest character in his universe. Deku was created to be the strongest hero, but with the other variations of power added to him, overcoming Deku is a distant dream.
I think Hagakure should be next because we just she’s straight up a light bender now. And we saw her manipulate light to generate heat. That’s fucking insane
i say he should learn steam shoot. both hands together and fire and ice become one to make a fast shoot of steam. using it to make a dense fog or a steam shoot that can burn villains.
Shoto flame with his fire power could become white which is hotter than blue fire. His ice power he could learn to amplify the density of his ice and as a bonus his could condense his ice into a lazer
From what I have seen so far Shoto is Half Iceman and Half SunSpot from Marvel's X-Men characters. The things he can possibly do with further training his quirks can be QUITE huge. So many possible ways he can use them.....
I have a feeling that Shoto’s final look as a hero would be like an iceman or human torch type of look, where half is body would be covered in ice and the other half with flames. No suit, some what like a silver surfer look.
Shotos ultimate form: call it Blue Knight. He makes a full suit of armor from his ice, the activate the blue flames. It would be super taxing because he would essentially need to continually replenish the ice armor to avoid damage from the constant blue flames. But imagine an ice knight covered in blue flames boxing it out with a villian. I think it would be a really cool close combat last resort form.
It'be cool too if he can sense body temperature around him which would make him able to see hagakure and sense tsu's and spinner's body temperature too since they both have a mutant reptile quirk which lets them posses colder body temperature than a normal person like everyone else
I always thought since Shoto kinda of lacked in actual strength maybe he could use his ice to form spikes, swords, and my favorite a giant fist on his arms and use his father’s propulsion to blitz enemy’s and since the ice would act as a brace he wouldn’t take the risk of damaging his limbs. And if it fail then you have the fire and ice veil from the video to fall on
Think the conflict Shoto faces is related to his complicated relationship with his father even tho his quirk is split in half of fire and the other ice, I believe the incident with his mother growing up causing him to resent his fire half prevented him from eventually MERGING both halves into one. This conflict is played out in his hair colours however i believe when he master both he will develop a third "quirk" or advanced usage of his quirk, a water technique. I would even go ask far to say after having the complicated relationship with him and his father and mother resolved he then come to accept the fire as part of him allowing him to then use both quirks freely on either side. Mothrrfucker is gonna be OP
I think he should be able to make and control water by making ''icy water''. He can do this by making light flames to melt ice but still have ice in it to be able to control it.
Wait, what if Todoroki made ice paths in the air and just melted behind it to run, he can make up ice in a time that isn’t even a second.Meaning that he could even go to the air and then not even allow the villains to follow him
Anyone who has seen akame ga kill knows what I mean when I say imagine todoroki exept his ice side on the level of esdeths ice skill but able to use a lot of extra fire moves maybe even get to the point where he can heat up his hot side to blue flames like dabi and his father have done
