@Tee Riff like saying John Cooper Clarke can rap because he's good at rhyming words, in an industry with the likes of Jehst, Dr Syntax, Chester P and all the talented UK hip hop artists that never got the recognition they deserved, The Streets were overrated garbage, my opinion was that Shotty is better and has more talent across the board, one of the best don't flop battlers, set the fire in the booth mic on fire and adapts to a mixture of styles in his music tracks. It baffles me artists like this with talent go unnoticed then when people discover them compare them to the likes of trashy streets. 👍

@@AllOneVoice I get what you are saying about the 'old Shotty albums' - I feel like he has no end of talent and ability but he needs something to say. If he's enjoying a different style, cool - I find it too 'cliche Manc choon' for my tastes, but that's just me. What I really wish he'd do is add some depth and meaning to his rap - if he could go beyond talking about how much weed he smokes he'd be unstoppable. But then, who knows where his new style will take him - hopefully somewhere good, cos he deserves a lot more recognition than he gets, that's for sure.

i think the same thing. it's like a kasabian/generic b side to any band from the early/mid 2000s, but it's also fun to see someone trying something new. this ain't the end all be all hopefully. he'll hone his on craft.
