Its always about the Price mike even after explaining especially if they've got 1-2 cheaper quotes from others have a lot of customers call me up and say your £100's more expensive can you match the other then I say there probably not going to prep properly and using retail paint etc most people's reply is I don't care can you match the cheapest price. And these are people with like 3-4 electric cars in the drive with home charging ports and 2-3 million quid house been self employed 15 years always get that shit every year
I half agree, but due to the rise of say Instagram (my point is flashy/beautiful show homes), more people ARE buying expensive paint now than ever. The amount of people I personally know who have bought Farrow & Ball is silly (and they're friends/family, not punters). Do people still go and get B&Q paint? Course they do, in their droves. But more people are buying quality paint and are open to buying quality paint.
@@RBC0405 The thing is though standard trade paint isn't quality paint its just regular paint. retail paint is below the standards of a regular paint and is made with the cheapest crap possible what manufactures can get away with but people think its regular paint so get a false idea what regular paint cost's
@@jackwardley3626a problem i had over the years is telling customers that dulux paint will be fine, then i turn up to do the job and theyve bought that shitty 10 litre drum thats always on offer at b&q lol, awful paint that. and the crown version thats about a tenna is even worse😅 definately learnt the error of my ways if its dulux it has to be trade
No they won’t. There’s that many paints out there now it’s a minefield. Most my customers want quality. Not shit! If someone did think I was trying it on, they could get some one else. Simple really
