They've literally thrown the village at Donald Trump, scrutinized ever word combination he has ever utterred, and used the DOJ to disrupt his bid for reelection. I decided to donate to Biden and the DNC and have pledged a monthly amount to both. I rely on Social Security and my reasoning is that it's more valuable to me and my disabled daughter, who's on SSDI, to see Democrats as our better and only choice. Trump presents a real danger to our survival. I'd rather help them get elected in any way I can.

The problem is about a third of the voting population aren't staunchly in one camp or the other. There is literally no reason to stick with Biden, other than the fact that he's currently refusing to step down. He was losing by massive percentages before the debate. He's deeply unpopular. This is a golden opportunity to switch him with a younger, more appealing candidate - a candidate with the mental cognition to directly refute Trump on his lives, and the energy to actually campaign normally. (Biden has the fewest amount of press conferences since Reagan.) As it is now, millions of registered voters will just sit this one out. We have a chance to pave our way to the future, rather than sticking with one person out of "loyalty." "Blue MAGA" is going to be the death of this party.

Stephanopoulos's question "If you could be convinced you can't beat Donald Trump ... " wasn't the right question, it would (& should) have been "If you were convinced that ______ would be more likely to beat Trump than you would, ...". Unless a willing popular candidate (whose entire family passes vetting) alternative abailable that Biden's "keeping off the ticket" by continuing, besides Kamala who's already on Biden's ticket, then what's the point of distracting from emphasizing the horrors that reelecting Trump promise to bring?

That is a great idea. I hope the DNC delegates do finalize Biden as their candidate. Then Trump is certainly going to win over independent voters and take this whole election in a landside victory. Unfit to serve is unfit to serve regardless of the color of their banner.

My fav moment of the stunning Biden / Trump debate was when the elder geezer softly mentioned, Project 2025, into the ears of Americans, while nearly having an heart attack; It lit an inferno in the Republican Party not seen since Nixon’s resignation. LOL Biden lit the whole thing up like, a senile old fox. LOL

Everyone who is surprised by Biden’s behavior at the debate obviously have not watched FOX these past three years. All of the other networks never showed when Biden would be confused, etc. They shielded him! FOX showed Biden’s gaffes and confusion, so Fox watchers were not surprised by Biden’s poor behavior at the debates.

As a Canadian who is not eligible to vote, I would urge the media to concentrate on Trump’s lack of morals, lack of character, age, criminal record and obvious cognitive decline. Explain the impact of the latest Supreme Court decisions and the worrisome Project 2025!

First the left-leaning media should do their utmost to get Biden replaced with some other candidate. Any democratic candidate who is not Biden has better chances to beat Trump. After the democratic convention the left-leaning media will be united behind whoever is the democratic candidate. Let's hope it is not Biden since that would guarantee a Trump win.

That’s the issue. Biden literally has lost the cognitive capacity to make sound judgments, and that is a HUGE reason why someone is elected to the Office in the first place. So ironically his inability to self assess makes him by default not sound in judgment and unfit to serve another 4 years. Look, I get it, we’ll vote for Biden’s head in a jar before Trump. But it’s the voters on the fence that will decide this, and they will heavily weigh Joe’s competence and not consider Trump to be the threat to our Constitutional Republic that he is. No President with a 36% approval rating has ever won. So more than likely he can’t win, and if he can’t win, we need him to step down so someone that can win will.

But a lot of independents do care and will vote for Trump if Biden stays on the ballot. You daughter will vote for whoever is the democratic candidate. Replacing Biden will not lose any votes and it will win many.

I don’t believe the independents will vote for Trump. They don’t want a liar and a convicted felon. And why not Biden? He has done more in his presidency than any other president since the 60s. trying to kick Biden out is a rush to judgment. Yes, he’s old but I don’t think he’s senile. And I don’t think a doctor has made that statement either.

Although i may feel skittish, i'm still voting for Biden. It is too late to change now. His policies remain the same and if anyone worries whether or not Biden can carry thru next 4 years, we have Harris waiting in the wings. We just need Biden to carry us thru the threshold to win the Presidency.

If Biden is replaced by democrat X, you will anyway vote for X. Nothing lost, but much gained. Many independent voters who do recognise that Biden is too old and weak could be persuaded to vote for X instead of Trump.

If Biden is replaced by another democratic candidate, your family will still vote for that candidate. And independent voters who have now seen that Biden is too old and weak to function as a president might switch their votes from Trump to that democratic candidate who is not Biden. Too much is at stake not to replace Biden.
