60's and 70's in oaks bluff were so much fun. I had an aunt that lived there year round. There was a Black family with 5 kids next door that I loved playing with
Unfortunately this true! Black people on Martha Vineyard only like interacting with black people who are millionaire business owners,politicians or work in corporate America. I once dated a girl who wouldn't let meet her family because she thought I didn't go to college

@@charmaineespeut4627Martha's vineyard is a sanctuary town. It's literally meant for people who are here illegally. You don't need sanctuary if you're here legally. When the rubber hit the road the people of MV were breaking their necks to get immigrants the hell out of there. They claimed they had no resources or housing when an easy Zillow and Airbnb search show the had thousands of open houses available. They are cool with illegal immigration when it's flooding into working class border towns who literally do not have the resources but they hate it when it comes right to their island. This is one of the finest examples of hypocrisy I've ever seen and you're being intellectually dishonest if you can't at least admit that.
They’re starting to make it about the haves and have nots. The ferry scheduling to put your car on the ferry has become more and more difficult to book in January. The price for a round trip is getting out of hand. Let’s say you leave your car parked on the mainland in Falmouth, it’s $30 a day. 7 days of parking for $210. The price of renting a space for a week is expensive, especially if you’re within walking distance of Oak Bluffs.
This is just what I wanted to hear. I plan on visiting with my family but was skeptical about going bc of what we always have to experience as people of color. It is such a shame that this is still the case...

@@johnnyvalentino8720because MV is a so-called "sanctuary town" which is meant to protect illegal immigrants from deportation and being caught by ICE. But when some immigrants came there looking for sanctuary they racistly kicked them out in less than 48 hours claiming they have no resources or housing for the illegal immigrants. Which they were lying about because there were thousands of available homes that were empty on MV at the time. It was one of the more blatant racist demonstrations of hypocrisy I've seen in some years.

I would recommend visiting oak bluffs. that’s one of the more fun towns. plenty of beach, restaurants, a couple bars/clubs. overall very easy going but not over the top.
Well after all wasnt it non black ppl who made blk ppl use weapons and dehumanized them then they tried to live normal and look who it is the haters again. Talking about our own neighborhoods apparently the haters stole that too & murdered US for our land and businesses everytime blk ppl start thriving here yall come. If we were on a humble level now the haters would find a way to make us look like its US. We cant even have an opinion on the internet about where we feel safe and HERE YOU COME.
