I’m young girl who work in Shanghai and all my friends are already for Halloween it’s coming Halloween and I want to celebrate so bad I have never celebrated but after watching this I will not I will never celebrate for devil I’m the daughter of Jesus Christ and I follow him with all my heart.

God delivered me from celebrating Halloween a few years ago as well as Christmas. And a lot of heaviness was lifted off my shoulders. I give him all the honor and glory for this.

I was really into Halloween, I had thousands of dollars worth of Halloween stuff I collected. I made a lot of my own decorations too. Then I had a thought would I show this to Jesus and be proud of it. That’s when the Holy Spirit convected me. I threw it all away.

as a Christian, I was taught against Halloween, and now that I became more mature(I'm 18 right now), I look at Halloween the way my parents did. I cringe at the spooky decorations people set up. In my mind, I go "why would God's creation ever make such demonic decorations. Costumes and outfits was the true struggle for me. I tried to dress up like more neutral things like a "survivor" player(in case you haven't watched the show, a survivor player would wear a buff, has like a fishing net, wears a necklace with shells, etc). But one Facebook post changed it for me. I realized that even the more harmless Halloween outfits that may not be close to a demon, or Grimm reaper-is still a part of the holiday customs. So after last year of dressing as the survivor player, I promised myself to never partake in any of the Halloween holiday customs, not even in the most harmless ways because it doesn't make me look like I'm set apart from the world. I want you guys to remind yourself based on my story-Whatever I am doing, am I setting myself apart from others in holy light, or am I just trying to fit in with the world while trying to appease God at the same time? The bible says "You cannot worship two masters". I commit my life to the one who died on the cross for me and made his blood the ONLY pathway to heaven.

Daniel, you are filled with the spirit I can see as you present scripture and how you explain the bible. People such as you bring me closer to God. Praying daily for forgiveness for past sins and ones I try not to commit. Everyday I personally have to work on being as Jesus wants me to be. Thank you

I’ve had my grandma praying for me for years. I’ve been lead to the Holy Spirit for years. Every time I tried partying on Halloween in my 20’s it went bad.

We used to throw Halloween parties every year. This year, after coming back to Jesus last year, I have no desire to have a party. The kids will dress up, but nothing scary. We will go to a trick or trunk at our local church. It is amazing how a relationship with the Lord will allow you to see things so clearly. I have prayed about it many times. Wonderful video! I am a Christian, but celebrated Halloween for years. I loved it! And thought it was ok as long as I had the right attitude toward it, But god put it in my heart to reconsider that and convicted me that it doesn’t matter how we try to justify it, we should not celebrate it. I just finished watching Daniel explain Halloween and the funny thing is...Ive questioned Halloween since I was in my early twenties. The fact that Ive questioned Halloween for the last 40 years, and have grown to do little more than leave candy for the children that come to the door, should have told me that its wrong. Daniel, his biblical approach, his devotion, his love for God and even his pain make me feel as young in Christ as when I was 12 years old and gave my life to Christ at a Billy Graham revival. The moment Mr Graham laid his hand on my shoulder and prayed with me to receive Christ my life changed. I felt new, clean and full of energy. In the 50 years since, no matter what I pray, no matter what I try, who I listen to, what I read...it has all seemed to age with me and to grow old. Daniels gift to us, his message, has renewed my fervor for Christ and, even more importantly, has lit a burning to return to the Bible to answer all of the questions that have built up over the decades and have become a barrier between myself and God. I cant thank him enough.

My son and I were reborn this year and we were talking about whether or not to celebrate Halloween. Perhaps something playful like a fireman or police office. But to my surprise my son decided to not celebrate it anymore. I was speechless and so proud of him to make that decision and not taint our faith and keep every day to worship Jesus. Hallelujah

So glad somebody else is explaining this. I've never heard not one pastor speak of this unless it was online. I don't understand what the fear is to tell people the actual truth, why must we find it ourselves?? Makes me question a lot of churches!! I questioned them anyways because I've traveled for your 26 years homeless prior to my current situation, and have begged and pleaded for help from many across the United States. I remember one down near Tampa Florida that invited me into their church, but then tried to use me as their example on how not to live; yet they invited me into their church with the thought of they were going to assist me on getting me off the streets. I was born and raised into catholic religion but for more than 25 years I have been more a Christian. I have 2 sons that I raised with Christian beliefs all though my entire family are all Catholics. I felt all alone but today I have my 2 sons that believe in Christianity. I never participated in Halloween even as a child. I always felt God's presence since I was a child until today. Dear Daniel! I write to you from Europe. Before Americans "gave" us Halloween we had a Christian rememberance called All Souls Day. (In my country Allhelgonadagen) Every year it is on the first Saturday in November. We go to our graveyards and put candles on our family graves. It happens to sometimes be on the same day as your American Halloween. These two days have nothing to do with one another. Allhelgonadagen has always been a Christian day. God bless you!

Former Christian of 29 years, current Wiccan, here. This video is very impressively made with a lot of information. Clearly, research and work was put into this, and I appreciate that. HOWEVER, It's still baffling how it makes a topic that is so complex sound so simple and get it completely wrong.

I've heard many stories where people said they accepted Christ after reading a gospel tract they received with their Trick-or-Treat candy. That's amazing! What other day of the year do you have children of all ages coming to "your door" for candy? When else would you ever cross paths with most of these kids and have this type of opportunity? Here they are willingly taking what you give them, so use this chance to give them a kid friendly gospel tract to tell them about the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15 ---- In this case, they come to you.

For me growing up in a secularized family Halloween was a great time to celebrate family traditions like pumpkin carving, decorating the yard, dressing up. When you're a kid you think it's fun and cute to be a witch, but for me that led to researching "the truth" behind Halloween/Samhain, and the pretending to be a witch turned into actually being a witch. For over 13 years I was involved in the occult, first as a Wiccan then later as a green witch. Unfortunately the fruits of those practices included marijuna, alcoholism, spellwork and "spirit communication", both as a solitary witch and as a member of a coven. None of these practices ever brought peace, and the level of toxicity in those relationships was ridiculous. I left behind those beliefs as "they don't work", and then I didn't believe anything. But later in life when I met my husband l was impressed with his manners and intelligence and positivity, qualities he attributed to Christ. I felt called during a Dan Mohler speech to follow Jesus too, and I got baptized in 2019, just before I got married. It has been a complete 180 in my life. This is hard sometimes for past people to understand - I get "you've changed so much!" And it doesn't seem complementary - but they're right, I have and it's for the better. However, for me Halloween will always be a warning and a reminder of how easy it is to follow a darker path and what that brings you in life.

In my country we called all saints day. Just because the majority is Catholic religion. We visit our close family and relatives who already resting in heaven. Every 1st of November. We put some flowers, candles and also we cleaned the surrounding area. Thank you for this messaged brother in Christ. By the way I'm now born again Christian. God is my life.

I became a Christian 16 years ago and I always watched scary movies as a non Christian and a Christian on Halloween. I don't dress up anymore or go to parties. Just get some junk food and watch scary movies. But I sometimes watch those movies at other parts of the year. I'm trying to be more careful of what I watch in general. I'm married to an unbeliever but his heart is softening and he's searching some now. I probably shouldn't watch those movies. Idk. Thanks for your channel.

Im past the age of trick-or-treating. I’m still not an adult yet but I’ve outgrown all of that stuff. As a kid I did trick-or-treat but one rule we had was I couldn’t dress up as anything scary. For reference, I dressed up as Spider Man, a Jedi (Star Wars) and stuff like that. Me and my family are Christian, we don’t watch horror movies around Halloween, or ever. Our tradition is to watch old 1930’s and 40’s “scary” movies because we find them kind of funny. When it comes to decorating we put out some orange lights and stuff like that but we’ve always refrained from over doing it or outing out anything that looks or represents something demonic. This is how I and most of my Christian friends grew up. Also because I don’t trick-or-treat anymore. All of that stuff we do between like October 1st through the 30th. We don’t really do anything on Halloween anymore Now I’m asking for opinions. Does anyone think doing this was wrong as a Christian?

Thanks for the teaching on this Daniel, it confirms what I have been taught by Christians whose teaching I trust as it is biblical. Sadly so many parents allow their children to be involved in this ungodly celebration and don’t realise that they are opening up their kids to the demonic realm and desensitising them to evil.

Daniel, I appreciate you. To be honest when God wakes me up in the morning. I take time with him, my best friend we love on each other. In fact after I retired from the government, I worked out @ the gym but. I wasn't healthy not happy. Then the plague hit the world. Everybody keeps calling it a virus but it's not a virus. I prayed and God for goddess on how to take better care of myself. I asked him to show me how to fix my food how to eat what to eat how much of it to eat. Because as you know the word of God said he said he'll renew your help and vitality, and that's exactly what he did for me. Started doing abs exercises have workouts inside the house. Then walking 4 - 5 miles daily I'm talking about from 169 to 140. I ask him about everything. Keep preaching Thanks, Venus

A coworker asked me what I would be doing for Hween; I told him I don’t celebrate it. He asked why, and I told him it was demonic and satanic. He just chuckled and changed the subject.

Many people seem to associate modern Halloween with three things: The old Celtic New Year’s celebration of Samhain (in asserting that most of Halloween’s customs can be traced to Samhain celebrations); Satanism (asserting that Halloween’s origins are Satanic as evidenced by the many Satanists who use this day to promote their beliefs); and All Saints Day (asserting that the early church established the holiday to “Christianize” Samhain). Upon a more critical examination however, these associations fall more into the categories of wishful thinking and urban legend than actual historical fact. It's simply not a holiday that has close ties to the ancient past, nor does it have some ‘pagan’ antecedent, nor is a continuation of several ancient customs, as some would have one believe. Perhaps the most difficult aspect of researching the various origins, traditions, and, ‘assumed truths’ about Halloween, is sifting through all the data and separating historical _fact_ from historical ‘myth’, ‘(urban) legend’, and fiction. What we find, is that the origin of most Halloween traditions/beliefs comes from latter (historical fiction), rather than the former (historical fact). All three holidays, Halloween, All Saint’s Day, and Samhain share a common date and perhaps a “feeling”, but that’s really about it. Indeed, so much of Halloween “feels” Pagan that attempts to connect those things to ancient Samhain simply “feels right”. Contrary to what some would have one believe, the Bible does not say _anything_ about Halloween - passages are typically cherry-picked, often completely out of context, and applied to a preconceived notion about Halloween based more on myths, legends, outright nonsense, and misconceived assumptions, than actual historical fact. When one participates in Halloween, one is not participating in ‘evil’ or ‘death’ per se; rather one of the points of the modern holiday is to mock these things. I think that’s a major point many people seem to completely miss or not quite understand. In a way, it’s remotely akin to the Medieval “Feast of Fools”. From a Christian viewpoint, it can be said that death is mocked, because Christ conquered death. On another philosophical/psychological level, it allows people to explore their “darker side/psyche”, if you will. A time to explore a side of themselves they would not normally expose or perhaps even consider. It’s a part of being human. A time to play on a few of the basic/core fears of man - fear of the dark, and fear of death - the aspects of these fears that people just don’t like to think about are now exposed for all to ‘see’ and ‘experience’. A sort of annual self-check to make sure that part of our humanity is still there, so to speak. In the end, most people realize it for what it is

I only do 3 things on Halloween. 1: dress up as spiderman. Nothing devious 2: pass out candy to little kids 3: play innocent games like UNO, battleship, drink water ( I hate alcohol beverages and soda.) And eat pizza 🍕. Or just sleep. I don't think there's anything wrong with that

It's the only day of the year when we see at least some of our neighbors or since the pandemic, some of the neighbor kids. We set out a bowl of candy as well as tracts with encouraging scripture.

I don’t celebrate Halloween in the way others would define it. I still dress up as my favorite movie characters and such if I feel inclined and hand out candy. Most of the time, our church holds a sermon on Halloween and we do what’s called “trunk or treat”.
