I think all dogs 🐕 should be on leads at all times in public spaces. I've even come across as tiny dogs that have been very nasty towards humans or others dogs. It can be scary, even from other little dogs, when they can be aggressive

Yes always no matter what. Your dog may be an angel but others aren't.

Yes if your dog does not listen you. Hence not a gd dog owner

100% Yes they should be kept on leads because the owners can't be trusted.

I live in Norway that's what happens here especially in summer . Its ok but it means that a lot of dogs are not social with other dogs this includes mine . She loves people but not females dogs or males that she doesn't know . I'm sure if was in she would be much more social.

I always have my dog, a male dachshund on a lead, for his protection and also that of other dogs and people. I wouldn't trust my dog with children and some adults purely, he's adorable but can be unpredictable. That being said, I do pass familiar dogs, especially spaniels who aren't on a lead, yet are so well behaved and obedient, so I guess it is really down to understanding your dog, your breed and studying the risks. In an ideal world all dogs mine included would be free to run unleashed but we don't live in an ideal world. People out there, do your homework, understand your breed, be sensible and safe for everyone else too.

My German shepherd is always attacked by other dogs big and small, sometimes she defends herself and always gets the blame for the aggression when every nice friendly dog she meets she’s absolutely fine with and either loves or ignores. All these unsocialised and untrained dogs are the problem, however I do not disagree that some places are not appropriate for dogs to be off the lead but there have to be some places where dogs can exercise properly. Even small dogs need space to run, not everyone has or should have these completely deformed dogs which can’t run around as they are meant to.

So humans have genetically engineered dogs such as Sheepdogs, Beagles, Spaniels etc to run for hours and not get tired. And now they are expected to have a stroll around the corner and that will do for them? Dogs deserve to run and play in nature.

Stop moaning about dogs, the anti dog peaple are usually CAT OWNERS who let their cats out to CRAP on everyone's gardens.

Dogs rescue peaple save lives, catch criminals, help blind peaple, & so on.so stop wining you miserable lot
