@Feliciano Leal if you think 5 assists and 6 rebounds per game, playing 30+ minutes a night is groundbreaking, you must not watch a lot of basketball. Those are his career averages 😂
Draymond deserves to be in the hall of fame but also shout out Mel Daniels. He may have only averaged 3.5 points in the NBA, but was dominant in his prime in the ABA
@@olipontop9411 still you know how hard is to score when people are guarding you You don't have to be as good to guard + he carried his team and he wasn't the best in his team either
@@olipontop9411 idk the nba also has some janitors in it too, plus Mel Gibson was in his 30s coming into the NBA not in his prime, while Dr.J played in both, and dominated in both 🤷♂️
People don’t realize that people with that kind of play style have been hall of famers or legends Dennis Rodman is a good example Draymond has the accolades and the stats to back it up
How many years did Dray average 10+ rebounds a season or 10+ assists per game? There are ample number of players that did a lot for teams that aren't shown in the stats but aren't in the hall.
Averaging 5.5 assists is really good you just helped score minimum of atleast 10 ppg since he's on warriors with the chef that could be more he also had almost 7 rebounds average which effectively denies 7 second chances of atleast 14 points and secures the ball and scores his own points aswell, while not ground breaking its really good for the best of the best
If your gonna judge a players hof status by the amount of points they score, you don’t know ball. The amount of things draymond does to help his team win is unreal.
Yes its not the Hall of Fame of stats. Its impact on the basketball is most important. GSW is not a dynasty or even win a ring without him. But he might be a first ballot it depends who are with him in the future
No. You can't compare generations. Today scoring is waaaay higher than way back, not mention that 3p line wasn't there so its like that he averaging 2p. Rodman was a specialist, he had more rebounds than dray points, rebounds and assists together.
No he shouldn't you want to know why because, he wouldn't he the same with Stephen of klay. He would be just another player that was good at defense. And Dennis could do what he did on the dulls on other teams. Like with the spurs, and the pistons.
Yes for sure. Just because he didn't score as much doesn't mean he wasn't a vital part of that dynasty. Best defender on that team and 2nd best playmaker.
If rodman got in, he gets in. Draymond is a better defender, and isnt a liability on offense. One ring wasnt the reason rodman got in, coulda done it with 4.
Draymond 100% belongs in the hall of fame. Integral player to GSW’s scheme, defensive leader on the team, and the best point forward in the league today
Draymond is literally a first ballot hall of famer. One of the most dedicated to his craft of defense, inarguably top 10 defenders all time and arguably best defender all time. You guys do NOT know ball. Never cook again, the food is burnt.
Draymond is a very prominent part of the Warriors. But the HOF will one day lose it's credibility by listening to social media and inducting the top 3 players on every team. I'm not sure if he belongs in or not. The HOF is supposed to be for the best of the best. Right now, just not sure.
did you just compare draymond to rodman? rodman is in the hall of fame because he is considered the greatest rebounder in history. seriously, you keep making bad comparisons in basketball. draymond cant hold rodmands jockstrap.
You really compare Dramound to Dennis Rodman wild draymound wishes he could be as solid as Dennis. Lmfaoo if Dramond makes it in the HOF then just don't even have the hall anymore just have a history book.
He does a lot sure (understatement, key rotational piece), but I cannot put him in the hall of fame. Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups, and Tim Hardaway aren’t there. Draymond had impact but he has nothing on any of those dudes. I wouldn’t put Rodman and Draymond in the same category either because Rodman A. Did it earlier and B. A large part of his HOF campaign was his cultural impact. Draymond has accomplished a lot and been the anchor to the Warriors for the whole Steph era. But I just don’t think he has the individual accolades to back it up. Team success plays a huge role, that shouldn’t be discredited. But you can’t ignore how bad his HOF case looks removed from the GSW dynasty.
Its the same as Rodman he does other stuff and that no one else can do Rodman rebounded like no one in the league draymomd is the same they never would have won those rings without him
Any time you are debating whether a player should be in the hall of fame, most time than not, that player should not be in the hall of fame. For me Draymond is not even near a hall of fame player. However, I would put him in simply because lesser player than him has made it into the basketball hall of fame. As we all know, the basketball hall of fame is weakest across all sport. If this was nfl, he would not even smell the hall of fame.
Draymond was what Gobert wishes he was: A tweener type forward who got buckets when he could but always expected to hide Steph on defense and cover assignments he’s not supposed to. He’s Dennis Rodman of the modern era
Comparing him to Dennis is bullshit. Dennis didn’t get many points but he averaged a hell lot more than 7 rebounds through out his whole career and is definitely a better defender. That’s my opinion.
Eh having one defensive player of the year probably won’t let him in. You need to have a consistent leaderboard stat to make it like Rodman leading rebounds for all those years and Jordan leading in scoring when he played. Dikembe mutumbo led in blocks for almost forever when he played. Fun fact Steve Kerr the nba three point percentage king when he playedwith Jordan to win 3 rings then helped Tim Duncan win 2 rings isn’t in the hall of fame yet but could become one as a coach.
He doesn't, 4 all stars, 2 all nbas, 7 all defensive, 1 DPOY, 4 rings, gold medal and he has been the defensive anchor for one of the best dynasties ever, he will be in the hall.
I don’t think the Mel daniels comp is good considering that he played in the Aba and that’s why he is mainly in the HOF. Not just nba players are there, Arvydas Sabonis barley played in the nba and is a hall of famer
