I'd like their involvement to be as minimal as possible, but Dumbmocracy won't allow that :( Here in WA the Government owns & controls the Insurance Company that deals with Indemnity Insurance for Builders & because of this there is no other alternative (violate Monopoly Laws much?). In order to obtain Building Permits, a Builder requires indemnity insurance. As the Government has arbitrarily decided the rules for Indemnity, many Builders are struggling to obtain Indemnity for their starts & it's actually causing a lot of stress as it's pushing a lot of Builders to the wall as it's preventing them from trading out of their delayed Progress Payments due to the still existing Trade Shortages. Almost every major Builder has limited their Sales because of this which means less Houses to meet the demand which is increasing. All during a Housing Crisis
