Very nice to see someone dressed appropriately for driving the Rolls. My father had Bentleys and RRs' and he always wore a jacket and tie whilst driving and he wasn't a chauffeur he was a consulting civil engineer.

Wonderful….. the splendid vehicle, the fabulous scenery and we loved the comment about the ‘working class’. Having had the supreme good fortune to occasionally drive a couple of different Rolls Royces ( other peoples 😟) , I always came away with the impression that the experience was something between driving a large old cabin cruiser and a double decker bus, both of which I owned at various times.

I love you video. Beautiful production. I have been driving with gloves about 15 years. Started when I had audi cabriolet and got pair of red Ferrari gloves with the woven white fabric on the outside. These were extremely useful for getting good grip, and especially in slightly colder weather, as I always had top down (I lived in San Francisco, and Los Angeles). Sadly those gloves were lost. Now I have basic leather driving gloves I buy in Italy for about 60 euro. My current car is '06 Bentley Flying Spur, and the gloves really help get good grip on the polished wood wheel (which is not heated!)...and also...why not? You should do a review of different driving gloves!

@@DrivingwithGloves The gloves I have now are from Sermonetta which has the glove shops everywhere. They sell a few different versions, including the ones which are similar to Ferrari. But the quality is not as luxurious as Ferrari. You should find out who makes the gloves for Ferrari. Their price is ridiculous, like $240. Without the horse, they would be 90 euro max. It might be Schedoni?

@richardronk4445
@richardronk4445 5 лет назад
wholeNwon Cuff links with a blazer became perfectly acceptable after the mid-eighties. Much the same for whites being worn after Labor Day. Time changes most standards... Some for the better others not. The sports coat is not a blazer, but rather a driving jacket in blue velour. Cheers!

By the way, this Rolls Royce Corniche isn’t known as a Mulliner Park Ward. It is just a Corniche I. The MPW mark only applied to the first cars from 1966 (1967 for Dropheads) to March 1971 and these were called Rolls-Royce Mulliner Park Ward Drophead Coupe (a lengthy name to say the least). After this time we’re known simply as a Corniche. Great video and a great car, massively underrated and still looks as impressive today as it did the day it rolled out of the Crewe factory.

These were not built at Crewe, They were hand built at MPW in London. I was an apprentice there...

Depending on the purpose of your channel, marketing driving gloves would be a niche I have not seen before and one that could be interesting and profitable. I found this video by searching for Rolls Royce Corniche and found the video informative. You seem to have style and taste and those are commodities always in demand.I will subscribe and watch more of your uploads. Keep up the good work.

@@DrivingwithGloves British car. There was a WW II. Hitler and RR weren't exactly friends. They bombed each other...killed each other's people. In the US, it would be like playing Dixie at Arlington. Anyhow, your video....your choice. Fin.

@@wholeNwon it is a car from the 1980's. And yes it is a british car. But the music is about Norse mythology and old English was influenced by the North Germanic language spoken by the Scandinavian Vikings. So again I see no point in not using this music, only because 50 years after it was composed there was born an Austrian lunatic who happened to like this music.

Dude! There‘s no such thing as PS in English! It‘s called HP, or horse power! PS is Pferde Stärke, and is only used in German speaking countries!
@DrivingwithGloves
@DrivingwithGloves 3 года назад
I use PS, because it is Metric Horsepower it differs from HP! I had to make a choice, which one to use HP, BHP, KW or PS. I also use Nm and not ft.lb for torque.
