Should I choose DevOps Engineer as a Career // Salary ? No Coding ? (hindi) 

To add my story here. I am btech in civil, started job as a system engineer with 22k inhand. Now after 5 years I'm a devops engineer with 22LPA in hand and I tell you I don't have much knowledge of all tools and people are sitting on 30Lpa+ with not much knowledge as well just some tools.

I have been DevOps engineer for more than 1 year now. I'll tell you some Realities about devops... 1. No code reauired is kinda gimic, i had to do coding in yaml(helm-kubernetes), yml(docker), python, groovy(jenkins), shellscript(linux), terraform, ansible and what not, so if someone is telling you, you need to learn docker-jenkins-cloud to be devops engineer but don't need programming language, either they are not really doing devops or they are not pushing themselves. 2nd - everyone's issue is devops issue... So qa, performance, developer anyone can come and tell u pipeline is failing, and worst part is even if you don't know their domain, you have to investigate , understand and tell them the issue which i think is the hardest, it's like sailing in dark and reaching right destination.... I'll give you exact scenario, assume one of your friend calls you, says he has written 1000 lines of code in the language you might not have even heard before but it's failing, so now it's your job to debug why it's failing but u can't rewrite it, you must debug it and tell him what's the issue........ If you are comfortable with it, then you are good to join devops :)

You have to be good in Linux adminstration, shell/python scripting for automation and learn some computer networking as well. I started as a developer at 4 lpa, now I'm at 6-7x of that. I moved into this by showing interest to my manager.
