The way he is feeling and the things he is going through are common for people in his age group... you're a adult living with your parents that sucks, you're unsure about what you want, and this stage in life can be a lot of pressure and stress for new adults. My father gave me some good advice that helped me grow up ( just so you know my whole family has a potty mouth) "stop being a punk what's happening to you is called life so grow the fuck up and just do it finish what you start or you're going to be a bum"...

Dont start college if you think its going to help you figure out your life & you dont have concrete goals for your education. You could be using that time -and money- to invest in a skill, business, trade, your own startup, etc. College is a HUGE investment that you could benefit from in your 40s or sincerely regret so dont make the decision lightly.
