Should I get drone insurance? 

Excellent video! I just got my first drone last Friday and everything you touched on is exactly my mindset. I have renters insurance to protect all of my camera gear/electronic possessions against theft and property damage is included. But I need something else to protect the drone for accidental damage. So I'll only fly it once I get that insurance. DJI Care Refresh is an option but I need to call them again and dig a little deeper to make sure I'm not missing any important information. I want no surprises if something is to happen. I was told the plan covers crashes, water damage, fly away incidents, natural and accidental damage. But another video I checked out said fly away incidents are not covered. I think I might go with Skywatch. I do like the fact that you're rewarded for flying safely.

Great review! I heard some guys flying with some “on-demand” insurance app but I never followed up to find out what it is. I have a one year drone policy (1million claim) that i use to fly for the various tv shows I work on. Once my policy is up in June 2019 I will defiantly look into this! Thanks again for all the valuable Info you give on this channel!

But how will they know you really crash or losy your drone? Because they dont have physical acces to it, to even check if it is working

Does coverage extend overseas while on vacation ?

Hi Scott, your video is a little confusing to me. You say you don't have to be a part 107 to get the actual insurance, but it looks on their website that is only true of the pay as you go. Under SkyWatch Plus, the monthly, it says for Part 107 Pilots only. SO you can only get hull coverage if part 107?

Never knew skywatch provided hull insurance. I have DJI care but it’s running out... and I use Verifly for commercial jobs, but that will soon change. Thanks for the share ✌🏼🎅🏼

Wouldn't have getting a store protection/replacement plan to cover accidents like this been easier?
