This takes me back to the old days at the public parks and the public grills. We had to cover up the public grills with foil to cook on, growing up in DC.
What about if grates got rust from the rain on them..I’ve used vegetable oil baking..vinegar and water and it still has that rust on it..I don’t want rust on the food
You're on point with hitting it oil. Depending on the the type of metal your grates are made of you may want to re-season them to prevent the rust. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
You should never use aluminum foil on your grill because you are taking away the flavor you should look at otd cooking in the hood he teaches you how to get the flavor and he's live and he's doing something new and different it cannot hurt to look at otd cooking in the hood and I guarantee you you will learn something new otd cooking in the hood
@@Iambriangregory. It’s gonna restrict airflow not to mention it’s gonna burn and turn black making it hard to peel off of the grates. The proper thing to do is not pile the grill full of charcoal or whatever you’re using as a heat source so that your fire is manageable. Feed it more coal, wood, or whatever as needed.
@@clarkboy219 thanks for your feedback but you have to recognize you form the same category of a lot of people that don't see the advantages of the other person's way of doing things you use the word yourself restrict restrict does not mean eliminate so if it's not eliminated the flavor will still get through that's just common sense tell me if I'm missing something here cuz I'm not missing anything I could be wrong but I doubt it so don't worry about restricting the flavor it's not an impenetrable seal okay thanks for your contribution anyway
@@clarkboy219 and furthermore instead of looking at the problem look at the prevention of solution it's quite obvious the way to keep things from sticking is to spray it with high temperature pan they sell it in the store be a yes I can guy rather than a can't do guy
LoL, if ya gonna put foil on grates, then this will allow for the grease to drip. Otherwise, it will pool and cause a grease fire. But as I shared in the video, foil isn't necessary.
