Should it Stay or Should it Go? Episode #2 - Cocteau Twins 

This series may motivate me to go through my collection. It's been awhile since I have gotten rid of my vinyl or CDs.

I really like Victorialand personally, but I am also one of the fair few who like Garlands which is a lot more Post Punk in sound so it seems to get overlooked because of this. Victorialand takes a different approach to the ethereal sound but it still feels very much like it has the Cocteau Twins DNA in my opinion.

You made a good choice, Vanessa. Victorialand is quite forgettable compared to their best work and you don't want it taking up shelf space / floor space / box space / attic, basement space. I actually sold all my vinyl quite a few years ago but I still have Victorialand on cassette. Think I've listened to it once in 20 years.

It's the lack of drums that probably turns people off.

Heyya Vanessa, I like The Cocteau Twins, but they do seem like an act that ppl who do like them are more into them at a certain age (20's), but then their interest fades. I've heard a number of times, "Oh I was a big fan in my 20's", "I liked (insert album name) when I was younger". If it was "Garlands", "Treasure" or a good compilation, I'd say keep it.

i tryed the cocteau twins , during the listo, and i dunno i struggled with it, the vocals didnt hit me, maybe a retry is in order🐯
