You’re absolutely correct on both counts. Firstly, nothing wrong with Joe Rogan carrying out the interview in the circumstances. Secondly, McGregor’s comments in that interview, whilst wholly inappropriate, should be viewed in the context and setting in which he said them: he was sat there with a broken leg, had lost the fight that he trained so hard for as a consequence, had likely realised his career goals have completely changed (if not ended) and also had Poirier floating in the ring and mimicking his strut walk. His aggressive reaction was predictable (albeit not excusable).

It's not a policy. Rogan just thought it wasn't right to interview people who had been KO'd after Overeem lost to Stipe. This was because Reem falsely "remembered" making Stipe tap. They then showed a replay showing the Reem was mistaken. Rogan didn't think that was fair on a KO'd fighter.
