Maybe this is what they are counting on 😮if they gave them a place to live with a deal they would help the landlord with the place so if they make it illegal then we can all be put into a situation like that it think that this is a new control system I bet that they will pass the bill and make it illegal to sleep on the streets 😢this is it people that it adof is back in position 😮and please don’t let them gas us 😭we love our country why don’t they feel that same way about us
Our Howdy Doody has invited billions of "potentially homeless" asylum seekers and undocumented cartel members who can legally squat in homes that have been vacated too; shall all or homeless vets be arrested ? This is how puppets solve problems, by adding TO the problem, and distracting our attention and dollars to foreign wars? And VOTING won't repair it either, since you can' t remove a "war president' from office!
Stfu . I was homeless when I was 18 for 10 years. I know what it's like to get in a never ending HABIT. And I know its too comfortable being homeless , but I'm one of the very few that actually wanted to get out. Majory of them don't want help and are undeserved of being allowed to trash the land. I seen security pick up.hundreds of needles by the beach. The WATER . I seen needles poked and stuck in trees . I wish there were less resources then I wouldn't ha e wasted 10 years of my life homeless because I was in a circle . A habit of living off the system. There's even illegals that shouldn't be in shelters taking up space for Americans. So stfu ..I hears them all.the time searching for a place to put up.their tent and camp and trash the land without wanting to be "bothered "
I'm sure they will fight for it. Some people keep talking about as being tax payers, they are not wanting to pay for the homeless, but if they go to jail that is exactly what will be happening.
This is more about whether communities lose access to streets for children to play because tents are common. This is about whether citizens tax dollars are creating communities we want to live in, or whether all cities are abandoned to street people can live in tents. Criminalising homelessness, is not what is going on. Perhaps we need designated areas where tents are allowed.
What if there is a hurricane like or any other federal disaster and people become homeless then should they be criminalized? I heard of a rich neighborhood in california that caught fire from a forest fire and burned to the ground. Then a lot of them had RV or campers or trailers sent to that location from Texas if im not mistaken? So once you go from being on top then being on the bottom then you can relate and are more. Also do you remember hurricane katrina? After they were evacuated some of them stayed in Katrina trailers and other places for a while do you remember that? It was all over the news.
I think people in rich neighborhoods who can afford RV’s to evacuate is not the same homeless situation as this homeless situation 😂 the people on the streets are drug addicts, mentally ill, and antisocial.
@@user-iy7lk7ig4h it's bigger problem's in America than homelessness granted homelessness needs to be addressed also just like the government sending billions of dollars to other countries for war it's war in America to.
They KNOW that many can afford rent and just have no where to go! This is destruction of the American ppl from the inside the middle class was just eliminated! Lots of working poor with no roof over their heads.
Being born in the US means you are LEGALLY REQUIRED to register yourself (SSN), pay taxes, attend schooling, register for the draft, and not allowed to leave the US without asking for permission and paying for a passport. Think about that. You are NOT allowed to leave the US without permission. So if we are legally FORCED to remain in the US and legally FORCED to live under a roof with a registered address (ie a roof/building that is being taxed), then the US should be LEGALLY FORCED to provide housing to those unable to afford housing. We don't get to choose what nation we are born into and aren't given the option of leaving without that nation's permission, then we are defacto prisoners of that nation - prisoners required to pay for their prison.
Actually there’s zero in the constitution stating a citizen must enter into some form of housing contract. That leaves every municipality free to make up their own rules which is what they’ve always done. Vagrants were regularly incarcerated ( for instance) during the Great Depression.
You’re actually free to leave. Other countries require visitors to have the passport. When you arrive there, the passport agent will check to see if you have a visa arranged. Same when you return. It used to be that you can go to certain countries without a passport, but the US has required visitors from most countries have a passport.
One doesn't have anything to do with the other. Before immigrants became the center of attention, there were homeless people. There are empty buildings in every city/town, why not move them in. Austin/Travis Co tried that and the folks came out in droves to stop it. Those same folks are still complaining about the homeless and don't use Ukraine either. Btw, it's the city/state not the Feds.
@@user-iy7lk7ig4h oh, I just love making the fake Christian nationalist understand how pathetic they sound quoting scripture after scripture and never actually read the narratives within the book. So ima use the book to destroy your ideology as it's own narrative speaks!!
@@brianclarke2100 I got that you were being ironic. A joke that wasn't a joke. My comment was a support or confirming. I agree and all these issues need to be worked on. Sorry, you took it as an attack. I understood the irony.
My friend makes around 8k per month and is homeless due to poor credit. There are no housing options once u mess up ur credit. He is sleeping in a hotel but it is devastating to think that he can be JAILED if he ever slept outside when he has the cash to afford rent but no rent options are available to him!!! This is insanity all around. Credit outweighs cash in hand. I see hotels filled with families these days. These ppl have slept on the streets before!
The government does not force companies to hire long term unemployed (people that have not had a job for two years or more). So until that law is passed, making homelessness a crime would be immoral. The laws reflect the US is a place for business and not very good for families.
She feeds the homeless and do more than anyone else in the city The Mayor and his cronies have tried to shut her and Food Not Bombs down for feeding Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri can see her at the corner at 7:30pm by McKinney and Smith corner.. near library
This is a baiting question. A few generations ago homelessness was not the epidemic it is today. It is criminal to do drugs, litter, bring down the businesses and property of hard working people of America. A lot of the homeless chose to nor be in a shelter. A lot of the homeless claim to be unable to work. A lot of the homeless choose drugs over sobriety. I would not want this for the future generations of Americans. People before social services was available did not live like this by choice. Americans have made it easy to be homeless. The hard working middle-class will be screwed to foot the bills to feed an temporary house and enable the addicts and unemployables. Yes, the criminal behavior that contributes to homelessness and lawlessness need to be prosecuted.
This is a bull crap fantasy that ppl like you tell yourselves to attack Americans from the inside. Where I volunteer most of my clients not only work but have 2 or more jobs. I personally know someone making around 8k per month but can not get help due to credit! Many are in this cycle that demands lots of money while having no access without credit! They are not drug users or lazy. They are Americans with no options!
Oh and btw in the area where I help the homeless, many of the homeless were formally middle class but fell due to rising cost. They had two options, Rise to make even more money, or fall to poverty! Many fell. This was intentional elimination of the middle class!
Criminalizing people for being homeless... it is as though they think people would rather be living on the street, where they are exposed to weather, uncomfortable sleeping arrangements, lack of privacy, personal belongings, and the the threat of being assaulted... rather than sleeping in a comfortable setting where all these negative factors are absent.
They are homeless because of high price rent or some crazy new policy of city buying out the owners.... making renters nothing but victims, when they should make better programs of free rent vouchers. However, making affordable mini houses is more of a answer, for the homeless with on-site health care givers and case workers. That can assist them getting back on their feet finding jobs some can be assigned rebuilding abandoned buildings, old townhome area restructure them self support systems ( solar-powered energy efficiency combine with wind mills, water collected from rain plus water energy(future)made huge drums containers made that connects supplies entry area also security video cameras setup.
I live in a blue sanctuary city and not only are we fighting to keep plastic syringes off or our sidewalks but we're also experiencing fecal contamination issues from our tent communities that is causing an environmental impact on our water quality. It's so bad even our undocumented newcomers are absolutely terrified at what they're witnessing.
Easy answer. If you don't want people to poop on the streets, give them bathrooms. Sad that your city doesn't provide this. It seems like they're not even doing the bare minimum. After all, everyone poops.
@richyp64 Yes, you said this on the other video(s?). There is solutions, and it rests with our politicians and us to help our fellow humans the best we can.
That last part of your statement me so happy, even your undocumented was horrified, well this is what they illegal crossed our border for, they are welcome
Perhaps tax payers dollars should be going to those that have actually paid taxes. As far as what the “newcomers” feel, they can go the hell back to where they came from.
You can leave the US without permission. You just aren't supposed to enter another country without that country's permission. What country will let you enter without either an ID or a passport?
Yeah right,.....punish them for not taking up resident in someone else home and protect them while the law is against the actual home owner😳👀🤨 Know we are Definitely in the end time!! Jesus has to come back!! People just can't govern this world.... can't make that make sense!!! How stupid can you get!!!😳
Before 1970s, homelessness was called vagrancy. Plenty of vagrancy laws and cops running the vagrant out of town. Did this to many ofbthebreturning veterans who couldn't integrate back into job working, home owning society.
Calling this "criminalizing the homeless" is a lie. Cities and towns have the absolute duty to keep their public places clean. When did it become anyone's constitutional right in this country to throw down a tent across the sidewalk, invite all your friends to set up camp next to you, spread out piles of trash and needles and excrement up and down the block, then dare any passer-by to get too close or you'll shiv them? I live in the Bay Area, and this is the nightmare that we have been dealing with for many years now. Judge Sotomayor is either incredibly sheltered or just play-acting. I used to consider myself a liberal, but after being told time and again by some young dude blocking my doorway, snorting something through a dirty straw or busy shooting something into their exposed buttocks that I'll just have to step over them "because you don't have the right to move me"...well, I don't subscribe to that label anymore. I mean...there is a block-long, city-funded shelter and drug treatment facility literally RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from me. When I mention this I'm met with silence or a smirk. I've had it! Enough already!
There are many places to go. But the shelters require you to be drug free and many so called homeless are drug users. I listened to a lady talk about how she had found a place to stay but they required she attend a Bible study one day a week and she didn’t want to. None of her atheist friends were helping her, but she thought Christians were supposed to help without asking anything in return. Can you say “entitlement” or “narcissist”? If you need help, the department of health and human services can assist. Get off the streets, get off drugs, and become what you’re meant to be.
My opinion is that the various mayor's can arrange with the homeless and negotiate with them so that can they occupy the abandoned houses so that they will work and pay for the rent in a moderate fee.And the states should know that is not every homeless person is a criminal. Me for instances it pains me much whenever i watch such situations.

Nobody wants that’s homeless should be treated as a criminal for being homeless they already down on their luck and or have drug and or mental problem that’s saying if you get homeless be in a field your going to jail like what year is this it’s like why jail them or ticket them it’s peddy and uncaring to try to help those homeless that want help
Homeless people should NOT effect a person's SAFTEY, LIVILHOOD, and or QUALITY of Life. IF you want to be HOMELESS be HOMELESS outside of City Limits where BUSINESS is Conducted and People Need to be SAFE and UNABATED to conduct such business or POTENTIAL business... HOMELESS people KILL alot of BUSINESS prospects...
Its been too much for too long. These people need WHOLE LIFESTYLE CHANGES not to be given housing. I know homeless people who were LITERALLY given housing and what do you think happened? Nothing good. Time and money wasted. Pathetic
humans lived outside and slept on the ground for millions of yrs so to make it a crime is looney crazy and even making the lawmakers a criminal in a system that does not have decent temp housing while job trained n placed n give lots good fast job training and life basics free in schools and churches one night a week and job placement help and decent min wage that gos u with the cost of living
I have a suggestion, protests outside the mayor and governor's office. When the police arrive, tell them you are seeking asylum in your best foreign accent.
