@2PRO1SLOW Ed if you do get one I HIGHLY recommend the rear brake on the handlebar, you use it like a sort of manual traction control, it's completely intuitive when your used to the clutch, pull lever in=less power to rear tire, let lever out=more power to rear tire. It works even better than you'd think and if your a mountain biker too it's completely intuitive when your using it for regular braking.
Haha, HNY boys good to see you back! They would be more fun to race or watch in their own class. Safety and being able to hear another racers bike is real! Props to the Arenacross promoters for giving them a spot at the gates however watching them race against the combustion engines almost damages the brand image as it seems like cheating. It’s apples and pears. Stark Future would be better off creating and sponsoring a separate exhibition race before or during major MX events and maybe use up and coming juniors. After all they are the future!
Positive vibes being sent your way Tommy, stop overthinking it all. Great podcast. Always good to hear from Mel. We need to hear from Lil Bill and Luke. Ed your footage of Manchester was definitely better than the live feed perhaps you could give them some pointers for the next one.
Well, you people agreed it should not compete because of the lack of noise. I can get into that. I own a Stark and a 250 2 stroke. Getting behind someone on the Stark can be a little tricky. However this is a problem that is solvable within days. What sound and how loud do you want it to be? Add a speaker and it can be a 2 stroke, hell it can even be a V12 if you like. And for the clutch in and throttle. That can be replaced by a horn with any noise you like (incluided in said speaker). Power can be tuned (and is in Arenacross at max 60hp). I do love my 2 stroke and especially in long events the Stark is not there yet, but for MX it's just superior. Especially considering i'm allowed to ride more on the Stark than on my 250. Also for me as an untalented rider i can do 1 MX track at 35 hp to help me not crash and push my limits. The next more open one at 50 hp and if i just want to fool around get into 80 hp. I even get to ride with friends that are new to MX. Hand them the Stark in 10 to 25hp and they can have fun without doing dangerous stuf within seconds.
The "can't hear them debate" is false. You can make modern 4 strokes whisper quiet with giant muffler and air intake systems. Instead of banning electrics, make the gas engines run at 75db.
All the comments hating on electric bikes but what if it means the UK could have lots more MX tracks and they could potentially open 7 days a week. Need to think about the bigger picture.
Classic one there Ed mate, lots of great chat and bants, media Mel on the line was ace !! Best wishes on the recovery billy and Tommy , you’ll be alright 🤣🤣 . Appreciate your efforts lads 👍🏼👍🏼
I got an MRI next day in Milton Keynes could pick from any time slot I was well impressed with the report they even sent all the image files your consultant can look at it properly not just a PDF. £350.
Anyone wants to race a Varg just come to Australia. Jeff Liesk (importer) is buddies with Peter Goddard (Pres of Motorcycling Australia) They have already written Electric bikes into the program and they havnt even landed yet
Electric bikes are a different beast. It’s not understandable why people think they should race in the combustion engine race. Separate class and series.
That's why I would never get one, it's got a computer, hooked up to the internet, factory can shut it off whenever they want. You never own a product like that.
I reckon BB know what is wrong with his knee but seems like he isn't saying - plan to manage it through Super Enduro and then get it fixed, WDTY? The knee movement was pretty nasty in the crash, looked like ACL to me, but all fingers crossed it is not!!
Good to be back 🤟🫨 But Stark bikes should absolutely be allowed to race with combustion bikes. Especially in hard enduro and Superenduro when any rider can ride any size engine so why not electric too
@2PRO1SLOW @Edubmedia Question for Billy: Have you ever used Pivot pegs and What do you think of them. I noticed them in Husky Technical Accessories and they seem like a good idea in theory. Question for all three of you: What road bikes do you guys have or like to have? Cheers guys, keep the pods coming. PS. Where's my signed card?
100% unfair for them to race same class. ESPECIALLY supercross / arenacross as the instant power out of corners etc is stupidly unfair And when they fall off straight back up and go
Tommy has already won against them at the first round at the end of last year, yea the electric bikes are good but it's still the best rider who will win the day
I reckon should be banned from races with motorbikes as there not motorbikes and that's the whole problem.no one can hear them should have race class of there own and if there isn't enough of them then go away if there was a race with just all electric they could yell at each other or at least if they are going to let them race they should have a loud horn to let people know that they are there.
I enjoy Tommy at times. But videos like this just give off the impression that he is such a weak minded person. He also comes off as being so lazy I’m actually surprised he has a kid. She must have put in all the effort. I can hear it now in his whining shuddering voice “ I don’t know I feel bad and I’m scared I may get hurt, you must get on top because of the risk and I only put out 15 minutes of energy a day so you have 45 seconds and billy still owes me two quid for the water he got out of my van”
My boss went to the Arenacross and his lad has just got into motocross so he doesn’t really known the sport. But my boss said that the electric bikes just has no atmosphere, maybe fun to ride and what it does is impressive but it feels that if it becomes the main thing I think the sport will start dying.
Hiya LADIES, how regulated is starks turn up and turn down brake horse power ? Or is it like a factory mechanics measurements on his own bike in an over sized barrel and piston protest ??? Thoughts girls ? Wob will get the latter, lol !!😂 Tommy, you another one who don't knock one out 👋
Motocross will never be the same. We all rode bikes for the smell and the noise. That's the excitement u can tell by the noise of 125 ,250 ,500 smokers . watching a loads of bikes buzzing around with no noise . I'm out that's not motocross in my eyes . Separate class for them 100%😂😂
NO we do NOT "all ride bikes for the smell and the noise" if your such a meat head that it's the smell and the noise the you find exciting go and watch monster trucks or something. For actual riders bikes are about SKILL, that's why we ride and that's why we like watching top riders race.
