It’s not the fault of youth centres closing down, what a ludicrous statement. These violent kids are the result of bad parenting , their parents should be jailed with their kids.
Yes I agree, I heard one of their grandparents were coke dealers, it’s all to do with parenting. People need to stop blaming everything other than the way they’re brought up!
Youth centres DO make a difference, along with parenting. Society as a WHOLE is to blame for the state of the youths today- and the youths from every generation!!
@@tiagopaes9524 my 3 sons didn’t go to youth centres or even needed them. They have grown into 3 very decent men with wives and lovely behaved children, youth centres had no play in their upbringing.
@@tiagopaes9524 They make a difference on the fringes, but the real problem is destructive cultural influence and poor parenting. It's not Society's job to look after our kids.
my heart feels so sad for his parents, imagine losing your son to just an unneccessary and violent attack like this?!? 0 sympathy for the victims, name them, shame them and their families.
If they can’t get inside after school?? I’m confused, unless you’re unfortunately homeless as a child, you would go home! This is a parenting issue, stop making excuses and blaming the government for everything.
You are arguing into the void. These are mindless women who don't care about the things they discuss, they just want topics for their show and they're going to quack about whatever comes to mind just to get the time they need
This is so shocking on so many levels. Firstly, where did they get the £40 from when they’re only 12 years old. When I was 12 years old my pocket money was £1 a day for snack. Our society is in ruins when 12 years old kids are killing people randomly. It’s a crazy world we’re living in and it makes me scared for the future of my babies.
Exactly, to blame children murdering on youth centres is ridiculous, me and my friends didn't go to youth centres, it's up to the parents to raise them with the ability to have morals, empathy, guilt etc children shouldn't be out at 1am either.
I was a latch key kid with a single parent. I wasnt involved in after school programs and I didn't hurt anyone or get into trouble. The only people responsible for making sure that children do not get into trouble are the PARENTS. period. Start holding them criminally accountable and more parents will take their roles seriously. Name the family and that will also change things for the better. This tip toe approach to juvenile monsters and their terrible parents is the problem.
If the kids are old enough to commit the crime, they are old enough to be named. Why are 12-year-old kids out on the street at that time?. I don’t understand it. They should get life sentences automatically. Nothing to do with youth centres and community centres it’s down to parenting…. 💯. There are boundaries that your kids should have rules that they should be adhering to and your voice should be one of not fear but one that should never be crossed and that should be heard.
This has nothing to do with community centers closing down..another example of why we should not listen to certain females who have no need to make sense. The parents of these two boys should also be investigated and jailed if convicted for neglect and poor parenting. This is an exception where you should name the 2 boys.
Simple answer yes they should and it also baffles me how the judges and barristers don't wear their cloaks and wigs so as "not to intimidate them as they are children" , their unfortunate victim wasn't spared those feelings so why are they
They don’t want the convictions appealed to higher courts for human rights violations. If you want the legal system to change that protest & vote for change! 😊
Grew up on a low income, but was never bored at home. Playing music, listening to music, doing homework, doing art, reading, watching TV, sometimes going into the city centre during the day. Got my first job at age 14. No excuse to loiter outside let alone commit crimes.
If my 12 year old was out at 1 in the morning I would be ringing the police in floods of tears frantic with worry! These parents need to be arrested for neglect. 😱
We are in a culture where we don't accept responsibilities for our own actions. No youth centres, the tories, video games, always someone else to blame
Blame everyone else. It’s the parents. My children had no community centre, and they didn’t roam the streets. I didn’t go to a community centre, and I didn’t roam the streets.
Can we stop blaming video games for people doing atrocities like this? I don’t think people realise how many people play video games and they aren’t violent people so we need to get it in perspective on what the real issues are here video games are not to blame
Its so sad poor boy the parents must be devastated! Name and shame them! Children grow up so fast and some parents dont give them boundries now they run wild they just want to be their best friends they are making a rod for their own back !
Unfortunately this was waiting to happen. The parents in this case were paying no attention too their children. When children return from school nowadays, they need a responsible adult at home with them , ensuring, they are being nurtured. These children have been adopted by Street People, who are filling a void. These children have been crying out silently for their parents to listen too them pay attention to me, come off your phone talk too me understand me. They now have the 'attention' they have been craving. Unfortunately a innocent young man has had too pay the price for people who could not find the time to parent their children.
Not the youth club excuse 🙄🙄🙄. You think these kids would be normal kids if they had a youth club to go to ? No it’s mentally bad parenting & no boundaries! .
Yes they should be named. They did the crime, and the actions afterwards as well, at one in the morning holding the machete. I didn’t go to Youth Club, my Mum was a single working professional Mum and my brothers and I all grew up well thank goodness.
Yes they should. The argument about children being children and too young is a very archaic argument. Children are not as naive and innocent as we all think. They are far more advanced than ever before. They know how to operate technology and order dangerous items. They are able to access material that is not appropriate but it happens.
Those violent children wouldn’t have gone to youth clubs even if they had been available ,but I do agree that the constant diet of violence is one of the problems.
While I appreciate Janet's commentary regarding after school programs being unavailable, etc...These children exhibited sociopathic behavior, and this behavior is developed over an extended period of time. Recently in the U.S. two parents were sent to prison due to their son commiting a horrible crime against society with their firearm. Where were the so called "parents" in this situation, and why aren't they being held accountable for their children's antisocial behavior? Too many adults are not involved in raising their children with proper values, and these individual's have no business in bringing children into our world.
What we need is tougher penalties on parents , if they were made to serve half their sentence they would think twice about letting them out on a night!
I dont see how anyone can see this as a shock. Where i luve you have 12 year olds running the streets acting like they own the place. They go around robbing people, carrying weapons, face covered up. But the police never pull them over because of obvious reasons. But i look at the parent's (if you can call them that) and you can see why they are the way they are.
Youth centres in this time will only breed more challenges. I think social media, parenting and society has a lot to do with it all. Poor representation and adults behaving like children also have a lot to do with it all. Kids are lost with no parenting and pathetic adults with no idea about the real challenges kids are facing.
Spot on we as kids , made are own enjoyment , mostly games of football or rounders , we did not go out armed up , times have changed , so punished should
@@jacquelineithell307 even when we were a bit older and managed to get our hands on alcohol, we were having fun, listening to music (not the hip hop drill murderous sh*te) and not going around as gangs or killing anyone.
As parents we need to be present and have conversations with our children. Be vigilant we are all responsible society, the police teachers. It takes a comunity, a village to bring up a child!
The British public aren't going to vote for somebody who doesn't Drink , doesn't smoke , doesn't womanise and doesn't eat meat , what that does that tell you about the British public , The bar is low and is getting lower.
Community centre/ youth centre Absolutely silly I am 38 I never went them But i knew how behaviour respect one another So absolutely ridiculous saying this
In some cases I wouldn’t agree with the “let’s blame the parents” excuse because a lot of children are feral on the streets & angels at home. As an avid gamer I can say that games are not to blame, in almost 30 years I’ve never felt the need to repeat or copy anything g I’ve seen. A lot of gamers use it as an escape from real life so to Janet & anyone else who thinks that will still watch movies representing the same things, so by that reasoning they should be banned then eh? The blame game can go on & on, lock them up & throw away the key but then again because they’re kids they will get let off, drug users get more time
The problem now is a lack of support for parents for children of that age. What do we do if they sneak out, or just say 'im going' ? Also them not being allowed to work at a younger age in part time or weekend jobs. Of course they're bored. The laws need to be looked at fast
Both boys were 12 yrs old, it's illegal for a 12 yr old be working in paid employment. At that age they should be participating is some sports/hobby activities on the weekend. Greater parent involvement is needed.
nah its probs cos theyre from a single mother no dad at all being dragged up on benefits, where the mother hasnt got a man so treats the son like " her freind" instead of a stern parent just because shes lonely...funny how u never hear of middle class kids from married loving parents that work murdering people
Some kids are just born brats unfortunately. Parenting, upbringing also has an effect and lack of community centre's. Not every child is a brat despite them being raised wrong i guess also its nationalities different cultures.
They should b named, and their parents r to blame because their kids r running around ferrel and dont get any parenting from parents who just dont care.
It's up to parents to teach their children right from wrong! Where the he'll where the parents of those boys. They are just as responsible for this tragedy.
Please name them, the kids are yyyte, so what now, incredible, people, why do you want to name them so badly, you all hoping they are coloured, nope they are yyyte, so what now? Time to change your redirect, racism is live and well, keep showing your true colours!
